Czech Republic U21 v Germany U21

Live on BT Sport 1
Match Odds: Czech Republic U21 5.20, Germany U21 1.75, The Draw 4.10
Though a sense of euphoria will surround the Czech Republic U21 squad after their 4-0 thrashing of Serbia U21, the risk of becoming the third successive European U21 Championship hosts to exit in the group stage remains severe as head-to-head record rather than goal difference is a tie-breaker.
A 2-1 defeat to Denmark U21 in the tournament opener could therefore be costly, as if the Scandinavians replicate the Czechs' victory over Serbia U21 then their only route into the semi-finals will be to conquer and eliminate Germany U21, the 2.42 outright favourites.
However, if this is to be the end, expect Czech Republic U21 to fall valiantly. They are the top-scoring team in the competition (indeed they have notched as often as everyone in Group B combined) and broke the deadlock in both of their fixtures - in the 35th and seventh minutes respectively.
By contrast, Germany U21 trailed Serbia U21 in their maiden Group A outing and took until the 32nd minute to strike even when coasting to a 3-0 win over Denmark U21 on Saturday night.

Denmark U21 v Serbia U21
Tuesday, 19:45
Live on BT Sport 2
Match Odds: Denmark U21 2.42, Serbia U21 3.20, The Draw 3.55
These teams proved that a good first impression is worthless if you show yourself up on the second sighting. Serbia U21 went from holding frontrunners Germany U21 to being thumped 4-0 by Czech Republic U21, and Denmark U21 undid a 2-1 triumph over the Czechs by folding 3-0 against the favourites.
Thankfully for both, there is a game three with which to assert that the day one performance was a more accurate assessment of their ability than the second. Three more points are guaranteed to be sufficient to see Denmark U21 through to the final four, and the same will do for Serbia U21 if Germany U21 overcome the hosts.
It should be an entertaining finale too as both backlines have aired their vulnerable side publicly enough to compel the other to adopt an attacking approach to the contest. Neither have kept a clean sheet yet and they hold the tournament's two worst defensive records.
Three of their combined four Group A matches delivered three goals or more and the exception was 1-1 after 17 minutes, ensuring that overs backers had an opportunity to Cash Out for a profit at least.
