Young City side can find net
Manchester City 2.98 v Borussia Dortmund 2.50; The Draw 3.75
Saturday, 21st June
Kick off 02:00, Live on Premier Sports
It's rare that you see Manchester City as the outsiders in a match these days, but that will be the case when they face Borussia Dortmund in Chicago in the early hours of Saturday morning.
That's down to the number of first-team players still enjoying a rest after the rigours of the World Cup. With a number of his best players unavailable, Pep Guardiola is likely to give opportunities to a number of youngsters, alongside some more senior names such as Aymeric Laporte, Benjamin Mendy, Leroy Sane, Bernardo Silva and new signing Riyad Mahrez.
Dortmund will be fielding a team that closer resembles their strongest lineup and are therefore tempting at the price of 2.50 to win, with the 1.83 for them in the Draw No Betmarket a decent option. However, with City boasting a fine academy, this could be competitive, so I'm going to play it safe by backing Both Teams To Score at 1.57.
Back Bayern to keep clean sheet with star trio absent
Bayern Munich 1.65 v Paris St-Germain 5.30; The Draw 4.50
Saturday, 21st June
Kick off 14:30, Live on Premier Sports
The ICC action switches to to Austria on Saturday afternoon, as two of Europe's biggest clubs begin their journeys under new managers who will be very familiar to one another.
Niko Kovac has taken over at Bayern and it will be interesting to see if he imposes the counter-attacking style that served him so well at his previous club Eintracht Frankfurt. He will go up against the former Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel, who joined PSG in May.
Both managers are able to pick pretty strong sides, but PSG could be lacking a cutting edge without their star-studded attacking trio Edison Cavani, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, who are all unavailable following the World Cup. With Bayern able to select a more balanced team, it's no surprise to see them as favourites, though the short price of 1.65 could prove to be an overreaction and offers little value.
The half-time/full-time double result for Bayern is 2.50, but doesn't appeal as much as the 3.50 for Bayern to win to nil against what could be a blunt PSG attack. In the goalscorer markets, Sandro Wagner has been prolific since returning to Bayern in January and can be backed at 2.20 to find the net.
Liverpool will have too much for weary Dortmund
Liverpool 2.20 v Borussia Dortmund 3.35; The Draw 3.60
Sunday, 22nd June
Kick off 21:00, Live on Premier Sports
On Sunday night, Liverpool take on Borussia Dortmund in Charlotte and eagle-eyed readers will notice that this schedule doesn't afford the Germans much rest after their match against Manchester City on Saturday morning.
Dortmund have just 43 hours between matches and with that in mind, it's a surprise that Liverpool aren't a shorter price, especially when you factor in the travelling time to make the 750 mile journey between Chicago and Charlotte.
Liverpool have already played two pre-season games in England and are taking a strong squad to America. Amongst their group are new signings Fabinho, Naby Keita and Xherdan Shaqiri, as well as Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah from their fearsome forward line. Roberto Firmino is away on holiday, but it's easy to forget that Liverpool still have strikers such as Danny Ings, Divock Origi and Daniel Sturridge in reserve.
It's a big price for a Liverpool win and one large enough that if you wanted to be cautious, you could back them in the Draw No Bet market at 1.61.
