Men’s Final Preview

Kevin Anderson  v  Novak Djokovic

WOW! Both men deserve an immense amount of credit for simply making the final. Anderson came from two sets down to beat Federer 13-11 in the 5th and if that wasn’t enough, he battled Isner for close to 7 hours to take the 5th set 26-24. The big serving South African has shown that his run to the US Open final a year ago was no fluke and that experience should help him leading into his maiden Wimbledon final. It has not been an easy path for Novak either. His semi final against Nadal was gruelling. They went toe-to-toe for over five hours, with an endless amount of extended rallies. Anderson may ve coming off the longest semi final in history but has had an additional 24 hours of rest. A a result, The Wolf believes that Novak will look to be more selective with when he presses. Conserving energy will be important, especially if this one goes the distance. Djokovic leads the H2H 5-1 but they have met only once in the last 5 years – here in 2015. Anderson won the first two sets via a breaker before Novak came back to win in five. Anderson has further developed his game since andit is the reason why The Wolf rates him a genuine chance. We will be going the distance yet again. Anderson in 5!
