Tuesday International Friendly Tips: Back a low-scoring win for France

Dan Fitch thinks that France could have one mind on Euro 2020 and will win narrowly against Bulgaria, as he previews Tuesday's international friendlies.

Poland can keep clean sheet in victory

Poland warmed up for Euro 2020 with a 1-1 draw with Russia last week and they should boost their confidence with a win, when they host Iceland on Tuesday.

Iceland narrowly beat the Faroe Islands 1-0 in midweek. Their only other win within the last ten games came against Liechtenstein, with the side losing the other eight games, mainly against good quality opposition, but including Armenia.

Poland have kept clean sheets in four of their last six home games and you can back them to win to nil at 2.62 against an Iceland side that have failed to score in three of their last six away matches.

Czech will be tested more than odds suggest

Czech Republic 1.53 v Albania 6.2; The Draw 3.7

England's Group D opponents Czech Republic suffered a blow last week, when they were thrashed 4-0 by Italy. It followed a defeat by Wales in their last competitive fixture back in March, when they lost 1-0 in a World Cup qualifier.

The Czechs will naturally be keen to get back to winning ways before the European Championships start, but there doesn't look much value in backing them to do so against Albania, who are in decent form.

Albania have only lost one of their last nine games and that was against England (W5 D3). On Saturday they drew 0-0 away against Wales and should prove to be a tough opponent that these set of odds suggest. Albania tend to keep it tight away from home, with four of their last five games seeing one or less goals scored. The exception was a 2-0 win for Albania against San Marino and you can back under 1.5 goals to land at 2.7.

Another win for France

France 1.1 v Bulgaria 18.0; The Draw 8.4

France played their first game on Wednesday since welcoming Karim Benzema back into their squad, beating Wales 3-0.

The French paired Benzema with Kylian Mbappe, allowing Antoine Griezmann to spearhead a midfield diamond behind them. With Wales having been reduced to 10-men when Neco Williams was sent off midway through the first-half, France did not receive as tough a test as they might have liked.

Bulgaria are unlikely to pose much of a test themselves, having only won one of their last 14 matches (D4 L9), with that victory coming against Gibraltar. Ten of those 14 games saw less than three goals and with France likely to be making plenty of substitutions in a fixture that takes place just days before the start of Euro 2020, this could be a low scoring game. A France win and under 2.5 goals looks too big at 3.3.
