Maurizio Sarri made a great start to his time on the Lazio bench, the former Chelsea boss looking on happily as his new side demolished Empoli 3-1. This weekend sees his first home game in charge, and it is minnows Spezia - who were held to a draw in their previous outing - making the trip to Rome's Stadio Olimpico.

Lazio boast a proud record on home soil, winning each of their last 13 games there, while they also registered 2-1 victories in both meetings with Spezia last season. It is also worth noting that Spezia have lost talented young Coach Vincenzo Italiano to Fiorentina over the summer and are among the favourites to be relegated from Serie A.

There have been over 2.5 goals scored in 16 of Spezia's last 19 away league matches, while they have conceded at least two goals in eight of their last nine away matches, including a 2-2 draw last weekend.

Fiorentina were somewhat unfortunate to lose to Roma last weekend. Jose Mourinho's side were excellent, but La Viola gave them all they could handle and were disappointed to leave the capital empty handed.

They have a chance to kickstart their season on Saturday evening when Torino visit the Stadio Artemio Franchi, and they will be looking for Dusan Vlahovic to lead the way. The 21-year-old striker bagged 21 goals last term, and he will be desperate to get off the mark when the action gets underway.

Fiorentina are undefeated in their last 10 home matches against Torino in all competitions, while the visitors have failed to win any of their last six league games, including last weekend's loss to Atalanta.

Napoli too strong

Genoa won this fixture 2-1 back in February, but both teams have undergone major transformations since then. The home side have managed just three victories in their last 10 Serie A outings, conceding 22 goals over those matches and their problems were laid bare as Inter beat them 4-0 last weekend.

Meanwhile, Napoli have looked extremely sharp. Despite having Victor Osimhen sent off after just 23 minutes last week, they still went on to beat Genoa 2-0 to get the new season off the a bright start.

They have won six of their last seven away matches in Serie A. Napoli have kept a clean sheet in five of those games, while scoring at least twice in each of the last four, a streak they will undoubtedly be looking to maintain at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris on Sunday.
