It is looking more and more likely that Sami Khedira will leave Real Madrid. According to reports by Bild, the German midfielder is on the verge of agreeing a return to the Bundesliga.
However, Khedira will not be signing for Bayern Munich, as many people had speculated, but for Schalke, who happen to be Real Madrid's opponents in the Champions League last 16.
Bild claims that talks between the club and the player's agent are at an advanced stage and that Khedira will return to Germany on a free transfer, given that his contract with Real Madrid expires on 30th June.
