Burnley v Derby

A trio of wins from their last four outings has helped Burnley close the gap on the top two and they are now just seven points off the automatic promotion places. Finishing in the play-offs will be their minimum expectation and with the quality they have, they should be able to achieve it.
Opponents, Derby, had been looking like a good thing for promotion but just like last season, they have hit a poor run of form that has seen them slip down the table. They are still third, but the memories from last year will no doubt be at the forefront of the player's minds and it will be interesting to see how they bounce back from taking two points from a possible 12.
It's all about how many goals there will be for us today though and Sean Dyche's side have been hugely prolific of late. The Clarets have netted 14 times in five matches and that includes eight in their two most recent starts. It's also worth noting that they have scored four times on two of their last three at Turf Moor.
Paul Clement's men have been pretty leaky at the back this past few weeks and Birmingham put three past them last time out. Two of their last four have seen under 2.5 layers rewarded and with Burnley having had six out of seven follow suit, we should be in for a cracker.
The stats are nodding in the direction of goals, so with under 2.5 trading at around the 1.68mark, I have to make it my lay of the day.
