The 24-year-old was expected to be in the match day squad against Manchester City on Saturday.
Despite starting against Swansea, Oscar was poised to make way way for Willian, who had recovered from injury.
And according to the Daily Telegraph, Oscar forced Hiddink to abandon his original plans.
It is believed the playmaker told Hiddink he was sick and was too ill to be on the bench.
But instead of attending the game at Stamford Bridge like team-mate Eden Hazard, Oscar stayed away.
Oscar has struggled to gain a regular starting spot since Hiddink took charge in December.
He was the subject of interest from Chinese Super League clubs in January, and it is thought the Blues could listen to offers in the summer.
Chelsea's 3-0 defeat at the hands of City all but extinguished their hopes of playing European football next season.
