For most Premier League clubs, the FA Cup is an unwelcome distraction, and that is definitely the case for Cardiff this weekend.
Neil Warnock's side are about to embark on a season-defining run of games against Huddersfield, Newcastle and Bournemouth, so they could do without this trip to the other side of the country to take on lower league opposition.
Gillingham are not ideal giant-killing candidates. They don't have a great record against Premier League teams and they are inconsistent, but they do score goals, and they are up against opponents who were held to a draw by Mansfield in this tournament last season. Back them earn a replay on Saturday.
Bet 2: Back Melbourne Stars to beat Sydney Thunder at 2.00
Sydney Thunder are edging favouritism for this game, and there's no doubt that they boast the BBL's most dangerous opening partnership in Jos Buttler and Shane Watson, but their lack of depth makes them a risky betting proposition.
Joe Root has had a poor tournament, and there's very little middle-order batting to support the openers, putting huge pressure on Buttler to perform.
By contrast, this is a Stars team packed with depth featuring grizzled BBL veterans like Ben Dunk, Marcus Stoinis, and Glenn Maxwell, along with the experienced Dwayne Bravo, the in-form Peter Handscomb and a battery of dangerous spin bowlers. Back them to get the better of the Thunder on their own turf.
Bet 3: Back Gloucester to beat Leicester at 2.10

Both these teams finished 2018 with unexpected defeats. Gloucester were shocked by Sale Sharks, while Leicester were unable to build on their Round 10 victory over Harlequins when they lost 23-16 to Bath.
But Gloucester have been by far the stronger of the two this season and are pushing hard to cement their top four place, while Leicester have lost nine of the last ten in all competitions. Both sides will be keen to return to winning form at the start of a new year, but Gloucester look the better bet this weekend.
