La Liga Betting: Barca to win entertaining match against Mallorca

Dan Fitch has his money on Barcelona to beat Mallorca and both teams to score, as he previews Saturday's La Liga games.

Barca back with a win

The La Liga leaders Barcelona finally return to action on Saturday night when they travel to relegation threatened Mallorca.
Two points clear of Real Madrid at the top of La Liga when the season was suspended, Barca can stretch that lead to five points with a win at Mallorca, as their title rivals are not in action till Sunday. If there's one area where Barcelona need to improve in the remaining eleven games of the season, it's their away performances, which have badly let them down so far this season.
Unbeaten at the Camp Nou in 14 league matches (W13 D1), Barcelona could already have the title sewn up if they were just more consistent on the road. They have only won five of their 13 away games (D3 L5).
Mallorca are another team that could do with picking up more points away from home. Their poor away record is the chief reason why they find themselves in the relegation zone.
They actually won their first away game of the campaign in their final match before the season was put on hold, beating Eibar 2-1. Yet though the closest of the bottom three to safety - seventeenth placed Celta Vigo are only a point away - Mallorca are the second favourites to be relegated at 1.30.
Mallorca certainly shouldn't expect another win when they host Barcelona, but they may be able to get on the scoresheet. Barcelona have conceded in each of their last nine away games. That makes a Barcelona win and both teams to score, look like a decent bet at 2.60.

Points shared in key game for Espanyol

Espanyol 2.18 v Alaves 4.00; The Draw 3.30
Saturday 13 June, 13:00

Before the Barcelona game we have a trio of matches, kicking off with Espanyol's lunchtime clash with Alaves.
Though bottom of La Liga, Espanyol's league form has improved since Abelardo was appointed as manager in December (P8 W2 D3 L3). The form of Alaves over the same period is slightly better though (P8 W3 D3 L2) and given the uncertainty over what home form will be like for La Liga teams, Espanyol look too short. The draw could land at 3.30.

Form suggests close game ahead

Celta Vigo 2.64 v Villarreal 2.88; The Draw 3.50

Celta Vigo are also fighting against relegation and will be looking to distance themselves from the bottom three when they host Villarreal.
Currently seventeenth, they are only a point ahead of Mallorca, yet should be hopeful of survival. They were unbeaten in five at the point that the season was suspended (W2 D3), while eighth placed Villarreal have lost each of their last three. This should be competitive and both teams to score is 1.74.

Goalless at break as low scorers meet

Leganes 2.38 v Valladolid 3.70; The Draw 3.10
Saturday 13 June, 18:30
Live on LaLigaTV
Leganes beat Villarreal in their last outing and are need of another win when they take on Valladolid.
Second from bottom, Leganes had a torrid start to the season, but started to recover in December. Now they must rediscover that momentum against a Valladolid side that are only four points from the relegation zone themselves. With these sides being amongst the lowest scorers in La Liga, back the 0-0 half-time score at 2.28.
