The Daily Acca: Bayern to cruise past Lyon

It's two from the Champions League and one from Brazil for Paul Robinson tonight and his Daily Acca comes in at the 13/2 mark. Here are his selections:

Goals at a premium in one-off qualifier

Bet 1: Back Under 2.5 Goals in NK Celje v Dundalk @ 3/4 - KO 18:00 BST

The Champions League qualifiers are underway, and I doubt that there will be many goals in this first round tie.

NK Celje are a Slovenian side who are the reigning champions of their country. This is their first ever match in this competition, and they haven't even been in the Europa League since 2015/16.

Dundalk have much more experience in European football, and they made it past this round last year - they ultimately lost 4-1 on aggregate to Qarabag.

Both teams will be desperate to progress, especially in this current economic environment. That will likely lead to a tense affair, and the pair of them have decent defences. Under 2.5 is definitely the way to go here.

Bayern to power on in Lisbon

Bet 2: Back Bayern to win to nil 13/10 - KO 20:00 BST

Lyon shocked the world by beating Man City 3-1 in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, but I don't see lightening striking twice this evening.

Bayern Munich were incredibly impressive against Barcelona, thumping them 8-2 and exposing the Spanish sides' weaknesses. Hansi Flick has really turned the team around, and made them a European powerhouse again.

The Germans could easily overpower Lyon tonight, and with a win to nil at odds-against, it has to be the value bet.

Flamengo to drop more points

Bet 3: Back Gremio & Draw @ 5/6 - KO 23:15 BST

Flamengo are the reigning champions of Brazil and the Copa Libertadores holders, but those successes came under Jorge Jesus, and he has since departed.

Domènec Torrent is the new man in charge, and while he led them to victory in the State Leagues, they lost their opening two Serie A matches. They did win at Coritiba last time out, but this is a much sterner test.

Gremio finished fourth last term, and Renato Gaúcho has been manager since 2016 - which is a long time in Brazil. They are unbeaten so far this season - winning one and drawing two - and I can definitely see them avoiding defeat at the Maracana tonight.
