Estonia v Wales Tips: Ramsey can keep Dragons on track

Wales boosted their hopes of banking second spot in Group E with a 2-2 draw in Prague and they can stay on track with victory in Estonia on Monday, says Dave Tindall...

Estonia still have outside hope

Estonia managed just a single point from their first four games in Group E and, let's be honest, they were shocking for the first three games.

Their campaign started with a 6-2 home defeat to the Czech Republic, they were bashed 4-2 away in Belarus and then suffered a 5-2 hammering at home to Belgium.

But the tide is starting to turn.

They surprisingly held Wales to a 0-0 draw in Cardiff before getting a first win via a 2-0 home success over Belarus in Tallin on Friday night.

It means, almost from nowhere, a victory here could pull them to within a point of second place although the Czech Republic will surely expect to beat Belarus in Monday's other group game.

Still, Estonia have their tails up after victory on Friday night so they won't be pushovers.

Wales looking to keep Czechs in sight

Wales go into the second leg of their away double header with mixed feelings.

Although holding the Czech Republic - their big rivals for second spot in the group - to a 2-2 draw in Prague was a fine outcome, it could have been oh so different.

After Aaron Ramsey's strike had been wiped out by Jakub Pesek, Danny Ward committed a howler of howlers by allowing Ramsey's admittedly crisp back-pass to roll over his foot and into the net.

Thankfully for Wales, Dan James struck 20 minutes later to secure a vital point.

So, to a large extent, it was job done. Wales have the same number of points as the Czechs and still have a game in hand.

But there can be no slips here if Robert Page's men are to grab second spot and book a place in the playoffs.

Wales big favourites

Having traded at around 5/1 against the Czech Republic, Wales are hot 1.63 favourites to bank three vital points in this one.

Estonia trade at 6.8 while The Draw is 3.8.

Once more, Wales must do without Gareth Bale but, as can often be the case when a star man is missing, other players compensate.

And stand-in skipper Ramsey absolutely did that in Prague, rising to the occasion with a display of excellence which was capped by a goal.

I wouldn't want to be backing Wales at very short prices but there are other ways in.

It's worth noting that they've scored six goals in their three away games (one v Belgium, three v Belarus and two v the Czech Republic) so Wales have enjoyed the freedom of the road.

Wales to match their average and score 2 (or more) goals is 5/6 although I'd be bit reluctant to go to 3 or more at 11/4 given those two clean sheets for Estonia in their last two matches.

I have a feeling that Ward, a confident chap, will bounce back from Friday's gaffe and keep Estonia at bay.

In which case, Wales to win to nil at 13/10 is an option.

Unders looks short for a Wales away game

As noted, Wales have scored plenty on the road.

But they've conceded goals too so the Over/Under market could be a trappy one.

For the record, Unders is just 1.71 and that means Over 2.5 Goals at 2.3 is worth a look.

Ramsey the focus for Bet Builder

Ramsey stepped up against the Czechs and I'm going to back him to be the main man on Monday night too and guide Wales to three points.

The easiest way is to play the Bet Builder and back Ramsey to score anytime and Wales to win at just over 3.8.

I'm also going to head to the Anytime Assist market and play the former Arsenal man in that.

A Ramsey Anytime Assist and Wales to win is around 5.1.

Of course, if he has a great night, both bets could land.
