Mihajlovic to get Rossoneri back on track

AC Milan have made a middling start to the Serie A season, and life under new coach Sinisa Mihajlovic, as they currently sit eight points adrift of the Champions League places, ahead of Sampdoria’s arrival at the San Siro.
Of course, much of the pre-match kerfuffle on the Italian peninsula will revolve around the Rossoneri boss facing his former club, but the controversial Serbian will instead be focusing on all three points, which Milan are 4/7 odds-on favourites to snatch with Coral.
Mihajlovic’s summer switch had recently looked to be reaping rewards as the Lombardy boys racked-up three victories and two draws to go on an unbeaten run of five games, before a narrow defeat at Juventus rocked the boat again.
Still, the Milanese men have been beaten only once on home soil, so will be confident ahead of this Samp scuffle. Though, the emphasis on attacking recruits during the off-season has meant AC have kept just three clean sheets across all competitions and have conceded more than they have scored in Serie A.
With this in mind, punters may find a 13/5 price for a Rossoneri victory and both teams to score much better value.

Sampdoria stuck in a rut on the road

As for guests the Blucerchiati, they similarly boast a goal difference of just one in the Italian top-flight, meaning goals should not be hard to come by with both backlines wobbly.
Stuttering Samp are without a win in four and have recorded a sole victory on the road all season, in the Europa League, so look more likely at 3/1 to end evenly with the Rossoneri than at 5/1 to win. Three of the past five duels between these two have finished as draws, so this could prove a profitable punt, though Mihajlovic will surely be fired-up to prove his worth with a win.

Abundance of scoring shouts

Brazil-born but Italy capped Eder Citadin Martins was the last to get on the scoresheet for Sampdoria and has hit three in his past five matches, making the marksman the best Blucerchiati bet at 11/4 to notch anytime. While, Luis Muriel provides the magic and is a tempting 10/3 shot in the same market.
For a wild card bet on Vincenzo Montella’s men, value could be found in journeyman Antonio Cassano, a regular late substitute, at 10/1 to deliver the final blow against one of his old clubs.
AC Milan, of course, boast the lethal Colombian Carlos Bacca (7/2 to be on target first), plus fellow forward Luiz Adriano (6/5 to net anytime) and apparent want-away West Ham United target Keisuke Honda (6/4).
