Liverpool turned down a huge offer during the last window but with £75m spent on Virgil van Dijk it looks like they might be tempted by another approach - certainly according to the Betfair market anyway...
One transfer dominates the January window like no other - Philippe Coutinho's proposed move to Barcelona.
The Spanish giants moved for the Brazilian playmaker when the window was last open only to see Liverpool reject a staggering £118m bid.
But Betfair customers are confident the move will go through this time with Coutinho currently 1.42 to swap Merseyside for Catalonia. In a fluctuating Betfair market, the 25-year-old has been backed at a low of 1.20 to make the transfer and 1.80 to stay.
Coutinho is reportedly keen on the switch but would not be able to figure in Barca's Champions League campaign having already played five of Liverpool's group fixtures. His presence certainly plays a part in Liverpool's position as 17.50 sixth favourites to win the competition.
On the flipside there is Liverpool's heavy spending - £75m on Virgil van Dijk this transfer window and a £55m agreement to buy Naby Keita in the last window - which suggest the Reds would welcome a little boost to the coffers.
