Western Sydney v Newcastle – (Fri 7:50pm)The Wanderers delivered as The Wolf’s best of the round last week and back to back wins has them putting pressure on the teams above them. They will however have to take their game to another level if they are to beat the Jets. One thing for certain is that the Jets will be finding the back of the net. They are the only team to do so in every match this season both home and away from home. In fact, the Jets have scored multiple goals in 6 of their last 8 away matches. With O’Donovan back they have returned to their attacking best. They put 4 past the Wanderers earlier this season and The Wolf cannot see the Wanderers stopping them. There will be goals!
Best Bet: Newcastle Over 1.5 goals ($2.05)
Value Bet: Over 3.5 goals ($2.60)
Wellington v Perth – (Sat 5:35pm)
Just when the Phoenix looked like getting something together they have crashed to three consecutive defeats. What’s worse is the fact that they have failed to find the back of the net in each of those matches and allowed 9 goals in the process. They look set to leak even more goals in this one… The Glory have scored multiple goals in 5 of their last 6 against the Nix including their last 3 trips to Westpac Stadium. They are the two defensive sides in the competition by some margin allowing a combined 79 goals. They are as bad as each other and with the Glory losing 6 of their last 7 we’d be crazy to have anything on them. This one will be all about goals and shapes as a goalkeepers nightmare.
Best Bet: Over 3.5 goals ($2.35)
Value Bet: Over 4.5 goals ($4.25)
Adelaide v Central Coast – (Sat 7:50pm)The Reds continue to climb the standings and are now up to 4th. A win here would bridge the gap to City to just two points and it is hard to make a case against them. They have lost just 1 of their last 6 while the Mariners have not won since early December – 11 games ago! Scoring has been their biggest issue but despite scoring in their last 4 they have still failed to collect all 3 points. Theoretically this should be an Unders game but The Wolf is finding it hard to ignore the history between the two sides. Both sides have found the back of the net in 9 of the last 10 meetings with the Overs 9-1 in that stretch. Then addition of Skapetis has given the Mariners some spark off the bench while Powell and De Silva have improved as a tandem. Surprise, surprise – the theme of this week will be goals!
Best Bet: Both Teams To Score – YES ($1.72)
Value Bet: Central Coast Over 1.5 goals ($3.40)
