Roger Federer v Ruben Bemelmans
With almost 20 years on tour it is rare to see Federer playing anyone for the first time, especially someone who has been on the tour for over a decade. That is the case here and this will be more of an experience for Bemelmans rather than a contest. The lefty from Belgium has a well rounded game – he is consistent off both wings, has a slice backhand and ventures to the net. His problem… he lacks the necessary power to dominate from the baseline and that will prevent him from moving forward. Federer will take control early and there will be no looking back.

Alexander Zverev v Andreas Seppi
Seppi gets a double chance this week after entering the draw as a lucky loser due to Ferrer withdrawing from the tournament. The Wolf says he shapes as a very interesting opponent that could trouble Zverev. The Germans has burst onto the scene over the last two years but his form as of late has been sketchy. He has lost 5 of his last 8 matches on tour and needed 5 sets to get past Aussie Alex de Minaur in the Davis Cup. He did however storm past Kyrgios to win the tie for Germany but The Wolf believes players are starting to figure him out. They are attacking his forehand and shifting him along the baseline. Zverev must improve his transition game and net play if he is to take the next step. Seppi is as consistent as they come and after a 4th round showing at the Australian Open look for him to put some real pressure on Zverev. The Italian likes the ball coming onto the racquet and is super consistent off both wings. This one will go much longer than expected.
