Highlanders v Stormers – (Fri 5:35pm)The Highlanders started the Season with a good win over a hyped Auckland side, this test against the Stormers is a much easier affair. They’ve won their last 7 games at home as favourites and this should be no different. The Stormers come off the back of a big defeat at the hands of the Crusaders and have a poor NZ record. Backing the Highlanders to cover the 14.5 points should get your weekend off to a winning start.
Best Bet: Highlanders -14.5 ($1.90)
Value Bet: Highlanders 30+ ($4.00)
Rebels v Brumbies – (Fri 7:45pm)The Rebels have looked ultra-impressive in the first 2 games of the season accounting for both the Reds and Sunwolves. This is their first real test of the campaign up against a wounded Brumbies side who played a disappointing game against the Reds last week. The Rebels have had issues winning at home, but against this Brumbies side the Wolf sees the Rebels making stamping down their foot as a serious contender in the Australian Conference.
Best Bet: Rebels -3.5 ($1.90)
Value Bet: Rebels 13+ ($3.60)
Hurricanes v Crusaders – (Sat 5:35pm)The Game of the week takes place between the top two NZ franchises in the Hurricanes and Crusaders. After a slow start to the Season with a shock lost to the Bulls, the Hurricanes look to have turned it around last week – accounting for the Jaguares comfortably. The Crusaders on the other hand have looked the clear favourite for the title this season with two dominant wins over the Chiefs and Stormers. The Crusaders look to have a brand of rugby which can adapt to any team they play and playing away from home the Wolf still sees them being too strong for a Hurricanes side with plenty of improving to do. Weight of money has seen an early push to the Hurricanes but the Wolf thinks taking the Crusaders at $2 is the best bet this week and is serious value.
Best Bet: Crusaders WIN ($2.00)
Value Bet: Crusaders 13+ ($5.50)
Reds v Bulls – (Sat 7:45pm)The Reds got their first win of the season last week against the Brumbies and although they were tryless there was alot of positives to take out of the game. Flyhalf Jono Lance looks to have made the 10 Jersey his own and is steering the team around the park well and giving the Reds much needed direction. The Bulls have been the surprise packet of the season defeating the Hurricanes and giving the Lions a good contest last week in Johannesburg.  Winning away from home has been tough for the Bulls in recent years but the Reds haven’t exactly maintained a strong record at home either. The Bulls look to have the edge in the Forward back and the Wolf feels this is what will get them over the line.
Best Bet: Bulls +2.5 ($1.90)
Value Bet: Bulls 1-12 ($3.00)
Sharks v Sunwolves – (Sun 12:05am)The most one-sided match of the weekend takes place between the Sharks and Sunwolves in Durban. Both teams are still looking to get that first win on the board in 2018. The Sharks looked to have the Waratahs measure last week but had to settle with a 26 all draw thanks to the boot of Bernard Foley. Whereas the Sunwolves have put in two gallant performances to go down to the Brumbies and Rebels. When markets opened Monday the Sharks were installed 16.5 favourites which the punters love, which saw the market jump to 24.5 in 2 days. The Wolf thinks this is far too many points to be giving up and was happy to take the Sunwolves at the 16.5 line.
Best Bet: Sunwolves +24.5 ($1.90)
Value Bet: Sharks 1-12 Margin ($5.00)
Lions v Blues – (Sun 2:15am)The Lions have hit the ground running in 2018 winning all their games by comfortable margins. The Blues are a danger team for any side and will look to get their first win of the season against an in form Lions side. The Lions hold a 5-4 against the line record when favourites at home and the Wolf expects them to be adding to that record this week. The Blues are notoriously bad travellers and the Wolf feels that this could be a rather large score line.
Best Bet: Lions -9.5 ($1.90)
Value Bet: Lions 13+ ($2.20)
Jaguares v Waratahs – (Sun 8:40am)The Waratahs have gotten off to a good start this season, having both won and drawn a game. Whilst the Jaguares look to have been a shade disappointing dropping their first 3 games of the Season. The Waratahs generally perform well away from home as favourites and the Wolf sees them putting it to a lack lustre Jaguares side. Unfortunately for the Jaguares they are 1-7 against the line at home and this game will add to their loss column. The weight of money has seen the opening line of 4.5 come into only 3 points which the Wolf feels is not nearly enough points for the Jaguares to beat the spread.
Best Bet: Waratahs -3 ($1.90)
Value Bet: Waratahs 13+ ($3.60)
