Does battle for third start here?

The two outsiders in Group G meet when Viktoria Plzen take on CSKA Moscow and given the quality of their rivals Real Madrid and Roma, it's not dismissive to say that this game could have a large saying in which club will finish third and qualify for the Europa League.

Viktoria Plzen have made a strong start in the Czech Liga, winning seven of their eight games. A 4-0 defeat by a Slavia Prague side that they are level with on goal difference stands out as a notable result, but it should be taken into account that Viktoria were only 1-0 down before their defender Roman Hubnik conceded a penalty and was sent off, sparking a thrashing.
