Seagulls still hovering near danger zone

Brighton are just two places beneath Crystal Palace but the gap, in terms of points, is notable.
The Seagulls have 28 to Palace's 33 and, as it stands, the hosts are just four clear of West Ham and Watford in 18th and 19th.
This looks a real scrap to the finish and Brighton need to dig out some home wins.
Graham Potter's men have managed just four, six times walking off with a draw and losing three times.
The scalps they've taken? Tottenham, Everton and Bournemouth, the last of those coming on December 28.
Since then, they've failed to win a single game, not really getting too much negative attention due to drawing four of their last five, including the last three.
But the cold reality is that Brighton are the only one of the 91 current Football League sides not to have won a game in any competition so far this calendar year.

Palace hoping to pick up the pace

Like Brighton, Palace were also mixing defeats and draws since late December until they finally found a win via a 1-0 success over Newcastle last weekend.
Patrick van Aanholt's free-kick settled the contest and ended a run of three straight defeats and seven Premier League games without a win.
While they've lost fewer away matches than Tottenham and Manchester United, Roy Hodgson's side have only managed three road wins.
They came at Man Utd, West Ham and Burnley although the latest of those three was at the end of November.
The main problem is well documented. Palace cannot put the ball in the net and their tally of 24 goals in 27 games is joint-lowest in the division.
Hodgson will hope someone can step up to the plate in this his 100th Premier League game in charge of Palace (33 wins, 27 draws, 39 defeats).

Seagulls clear favourites

With home advantage, Brighton head the market at 2.18.
They also have the edge in recent meetings. The duo played out a 1-1 draw earlier in the season and Brighton did the double over Palace in the last campaign, winning 3-1 here and 2-1 at Selhurst Park.
Crystal Palace are 4.10 for the win but they've have to overcome some long-term history too as they've won just two of their last 18 away games against Brighton, drawing five and losing 11.
The Draw is 3.30 and that certainly holds plenty of appeal on what we've seen from both sides this season.
Both have their strengths but don't do enough to win very often. I'll certainly have a play on the stalemate.

BTTS makes appeal

Perhaps on first glance, this is a fixture where goals don't leap off the page but I think the odds-against price for Both teams to Score is worth a go
So my second bet here is BTTS at 2.08.
It's landed in their last five head-to-heads, in Brighton's last five Premier League games and in Palace's last four road trips.
That's a decent batch of evidence and, as a comparison, Brighton's tally of home goals is only one fewer than Chelsea's while Palace have scored just one goal fewer than Manchester United on the road.
You wouldn't be getting an odds-against price if either of those two big guns were involved.
If you want to play the correct score market, 1-1 at 7.00 looks the best bet.

Duo lose appeal on current form

Wilfried Zaha has scored six times against Brighton so the home fans will be anxious when the winger gets the ball in any sort of decent position.
However, just three Premier League goals this season and none since December suggest Zaha isn't screaming to be backed to score at 4.00.
Glenn Murray has enjoyed this fixture whichever side he's represented, scoring six goals in total (two for Palace and four for Brighton).
But, again, recent form negates his case as Murray hasn't scored a single home goal this season and has just one one the road since August, in the League Cup v Bristol Rovers.

Opta Stat

Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha is averaging a Premier League goal or assist every 394 minutes this season (3 goals, 3 assists in 2365 minutes). Last season, the Ivorian was involved in a goal every 203 minutes (10 goals, 5 assists in 3040 minutes).
