Football Bet of the Day: SCP to cope with life after Bruno

After a week of three winners and three losing bets, Kev's aiming to tip the scales with a winner in Portugal.

Lions of Lisbon to roar

Sporting v Portimonense
Sunday 09 February, 17:30
A German jolt for us yesterday, as Schalke conceded a late equaliser in a 1-1 draw with the Bundesliga's bottom side Paderborn. Our winning streak is over, but we can still finish the week in the black.
We'll head to Portugal, because Lisbon giants Sporting are adjusting to life without Bruno Fernandes, and they're in action against struggling Portimonense in the Primeira Liga.
Now that dynamic midfield goal machine Fernandes has moved to Manchester United, Sporting need to find a way of performing without him, and although they lost 1-0 at Braga last time out, they actually played pretty well. Silas' team has had a tough fixture list recently against the likes of Braga, Benfica and Porto, and while they are falling short against those sides, they do tend to do damage against the lesser sides.
Sporting have won four of their last six home games in the league, and all of those victories were against teams outside the top seven.
Portimonense have lost their last three games, and are second-bottom. They haven't won any of their last eight away games, taking just three points from an available 24. They have lost their last three meetings with Sporting, and all of those losses were by a two-goal margin.
