Premier League Trading Tips: Laying goals at St Mary's on Saturday

Red's stingy defence looks good for the handicap

Norwich v Liverpool (Back Bet)

Since returning as winners from the World Club Championship, only Wolves have managed to breach Liverpool's stingy defensive line in the Premier League and in this time the Reds have also been attacking force scoring 18 goals.
Traditionally, this fixture is extremely high-scoring; the last five league meetings between the sides have produced on average 5.4 goals a game, with Liverpool netting 18 and taking all three points in each match. It's first against last and Norwich aren't the side that can stop Jurgen Klopp's men from remaining undefeated this campaign.

The Canaries have collected 12 of their 18 points on home soil, including some memorable wins over Manchester City, Newcastle United and more recently Bournemouth as well as picking up points at home to Arsenal, Tottenham and Crystal Palace. They have found the back of the net in each of their last six home games and only once this season have they failed to score at home (0-2 Watford).

If the home side open up and try to attack the runaway leaders then I fully expect Liverpool to score at least twice, something they have done in 13 of their last 16 away days, and for that reason the Asian Handicap -1.25 & 2.0 is of interest trading around [2.25].

Don't count on goals

Southampton v Burnley (Lay Bet)
Saturday, 12:30
Live on Sky Sports
Southampton have the worst home record in the Premier League with just 11 points collected at home so far and they face a Burnley side who held Arsenal to a goalless draw last time out, making it back-to back clean sheets for Sean Dyche's men. They will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to four games at St Mary's.

The Saints were well beaten, 4-0 at Anfield, on their last league appearance and that followed a narrow defeat away at Spurs in the FA Cup. They have only played two home league games since January 1 and will be keen to get some more home points on the board, but it won't be easy.

My initial thoughts for the game were around laying Southampton at 1.84 in the Match Odds market or laying Over 2.5 Goals at 2.06 and while I think both are good bets I have decided to go against Both Teams to Score by laying "Yes" at 1.95.
Burnley's last seven away games have only seen one team score and in Southampton's home games, only two of the last four have seen this bet land. I can see this being a low scorer and if either team can score it could be enough to win it.
