The Daily Acca: Goals at both ends in the Champions League

It's an 8/1 Daily Acca for Paul Robinson today, with action from Ireland, Scotland and the Champions League. Here are his selections:

A win for the Red and White Army

Bet 1: Back Derry City @ 5/4 - KO 17:00 BST

Shelbourne won the Irish First Division last season, and while they are doing okay since their promotion, they have still lost four games out of seven played.

Ian Morris' men have been beaten in two of their three since the league resumed, which includes a 2-1 defeat to second from bottom, Sligo Rovers, most recently.

Derry City aren't performing much better - in fact, they have two fewer points this term - but they won their last away game, and they didn't lose many on their travels last year.

Hibs to maintain their perfect start

Bet 2: Back Hibernian 1/1 - KO 17:30 BST

Hibs have won all three of their matches since the new Scottish Premiership season got underway - scoring seven goals and conceding just two.

Motherwell, meanwhile, have taken just one point from a possible nine, with the key thing being that they have played two of the three sides that Hibernian have.

I just can't see anything other than a home win here, and even money is a stand-out price.

Lyon to expose City's weakness

Bet 3: Back BTTS in Man City v Lyon @ 19/20 - KO 20:00 BST

Manchester City are long-odds on to beat Lyon tonight and progress through to the last four of the Champions League, and while I expect that will be the case, I can't see them keeping a clean sheet.

Lyon surprised many, including myself, when they knocked Juventus out in the previous round, and they managed to score goals in both legs.

Pep Guardiola's men have one main weakness, and that is at the back. Their opponents tonight only finished seventh in Ligue One, but they were the third highest goalscorers behind Monaco and PSG.
