LIVERPOOL ace Raheem Sterling has been deemed the most valuable young player in Europe, according to a study.
The 20-year-old winger has been the subject of two failed bids from Manchester City.
Though City saw a £40million bid rebuffed, Sterling has been valued at £35m by the Soccerex 20 Football Value Index.
The study focussed on players of all nationalities under the age of 21.
It took into account factors such as age, position, club, contract length, minutes players and technical quality.
Sterling came top while surprisingly, Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw ranked ninth at £18m.
Meanwhile, Everton's John Stones and Arsenal defender Calum Chambers ranked 16th (£12m) and 19th (£10.6m) respectively.
Manchester United new boy Memphis Depay took third spot (£23.8m).
In total, four English players featured in the top 20, more than any other nation.
