International Champions Cup games, August 7-11

Home advantage could be key for Chelsea

Chelsea 2.50 v Lyon 2.86; The Draw 3.80
Tuesday, 7th August
Kick off 20:05, Live on Premier Sports
After losing in the Community Shield on Sunday, the Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri would probably prefer a week on the training ground ahead of the new Premier League season, rather than to have to play a final ICC match.
There is precious little recovery time for Chelsea, who were well beaten in a 2-0 victory by Manchester City, in a blazing hot day at Wembley Stadium. Chelsea's likely fatigue is the reason why they're such a big price when this match will take place at Stamford Bridge, but it's worth considering that Sarri will have the opportunity to field some of the players who were involved at the World Cup.
Prior to their defeat on Sunday, Chelsea had been unbeaten over 90 minutes, in each of their three friendlies. With Lyon having lost to Inter in their last match and defeated by Huddersfield on their previous trip to England this summer, back Chelsea at 1.87 in the Draw No Bet market.

Another goal-laden game for Roma

Real Madrid 1.79 v Roma 4.30; The Draw 4.10
Wednesday, 8th August
Kick off 01:05, Live on Premier Sports
Real Madrid won their first match of pre-season on Saturday, when they fought back from being a goal down to defeat Juventus 3-1. The Champions League holders were able to field a star-studded side that included the likes of Toni Kroos and Gareth Bale, with the latter scoring a spectacular goal to equalise.
A brace from Marco Asensio saw Madrid claim victory, after losing their opening ICC match to Manchester United. Roma have also got one win and a defeat in the competition. They were beaten 4-1 by the ICC leaders Tottenham, but pulled off a stunning comeback against Barcelona last week, fighting back from 2-1 down with twelve minutes remaining to win 4-2.
With Roma's two matches producing 11 goals, it seems likely that Real Madrid's attack will have some success against them. Over 3.5 goals can be backed at 2.10.

Inter will fall short in ICC quest

Atletico Madrid 2.20 v Inter 2.90; The Draw 3.30
Saturday, 11th August
Kick off 20:05
Inter are the only side that can deny Spurs a victory in this tournament, but to do it they must beat Atletico away at the Metropolitano Stadium by a good margin. With four points and a goal difference of +1, they would have to defeat Atletico by more than three goals, which seems extremely unlikely.
Inter's four points have been earned via a penalties defeat to Chelsea, followed by a 1-0 win over Lyon on Saturday. Atletico have not been so successful in the competition, only managing a draw with Arsenal which resulted in a loss on penalties and a defeat by PSG. Since then, Diego Simeone's side continued their pre-season schedule with a draw against Stuttgart at the weekend and will play Cagliari on Wednesday.
Simeone has suffered a paucity of options so far in the ICC, but a number of players that were involved in the World Cup featured against Stuttgart and should get further game time against Cagliari. With a fitter and stronger side available, Atletico look good value to claim a home victory at 2.20.
