Transfers Latest: Silva to Chelsea, Suarez to leave Barca and more

Arsenal and Chelsea look set to sign players, United are struggling to get deals done and Suarez could be leaving Barca reports Max Liu in his latest look at the transfer rumours...

Chelsea continue to keep the transfer rumour mill in business this summer as they are reportedly on the verge of landing Kai Havertz and Thiago Silva.

The Blues are also 1/20 to sign Ben Chilwell from Leicester as reports say that deal is almost complete.

It's already been a busy summer for Chelsea, who signed Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech, and Frank Lampard is determined to build a squad strong enough to challenge for the Premier League title.

Silva to add experience to Blues' backline

Havertz has been linked with the west Londoners for months, while Silva is a free agent after playing in last night's Champions League final for PSG.

At 35, he is likely to be given a one year contract, but he and Chilwell will add much needed experience and quality in defence for a team that conceded more than any other in the Premier League's top 10 last term.

Arsenal are said to be on the verge of signing Gabriel Magalhaes who will fly to London on Monday to complete a move worth up to £27m. The Brazilian defender, who had attracted interest from both Manchester clubs, will join from French side Lille.

Manchester United look increasingly likely to miss out on Jadon Sancho, although the Dortmund forward is 8/11 to join the Red Devils.

With no progress on the Sancho deal reported, United fans are growing anxious and are levelling criticisms at Ed Woodward on social media. The club had been linked with Jack Grealish but they're now 4/1 to get him while Arsenal are 7/5.

There is some good news for United (depending on your point of view) as Paul Pogba's agent said at the weekend the midfielder was about to enter negotiations with the club over a new contract.

The French midfielder player just 16 times in the Premier League last season, scoring once, but manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer still sees the World Cup winner as central to his plans.

The big news coming out of Barcelona at the start of new manager Ronald Koeman's first full week in charge is Luis Suarez will leave the club.

Betfair Ambassador Rivaldo said last week the new boss had big decisions to make at Camp Nou and predicted a clear out.

It is still a surprise, however, to read reports that the Uruguayan has been told he's surplus to requirements at Camp Nou and could even leave on a free.

Lionel Messi, meanwhile, looks likely to stay at Camp Nou and the odds on him leaving by next summer are 13/10.
