Leicester v Manchester City: Back Citizens to out-gun improving Foxes

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Leicester v Manchester City</span><br /> <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Saturday 18th November, 15:00</span><br /> <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Leicester now unbeaten in five</span><br /> <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Leicester leaked a late equaliser against Stoke before the international break but that enthralling 2-2 draw stretched the Foxes' unbeaten Premier League streak to five. New boss Claude Puel, deemed dull and uninspiring at Southampton, confounded critics with an energised and attacking display in the Potteries.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Starting the exciting Demarai Gray in place of the more prosaic Marc Albrighton has given Leicester more thrust in the final-third whilst opposite winger Riyad Mahrez has now scored three goals in his last five fixtures, all under different managers, suggesting the Foxes will provide plenty of problems out wide.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">The hosts will hope Vicente Iborra can recover from injury in time after picking up a knock in his impressive display at Stoke. Robert Huth is the only other first-team regular unavailable this weekend.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Manchester City's record-equalling start</span><br /> <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Manchester City eased past Arsenal to make it nine successive victories and the Citizens tally of 31 points after 11 matches is the joint-best at this stage in Premier League history. City's stunning opening stanza also represents Pep Guardiola's finest start to a season as a senior head coach.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">The visitors remain the lone unbeaten club in the country but need to make at least one enforced change. Centre-half Nicolas Otamendi is suspended, meaning Eliaquim Mangala may start his first Premier League game since May 2016, unless Vincent Kompany is passed fit.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Elsewhere, Fabian Delph and Raheem Sterling, who withdrew from the England squad for the friendlies against Germany and Brazil, will be checked but Sergio Aguero, who fainted at half-time in Argentina's friendly against Nigeria and was taken to hospital, should be able to feature.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Citizens hard to dismiss</span><br /> <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Leicester have won two of their last three Premier League meetings with Manchester City (W2-D0-L1), including a 4-2 win here at the King Power Stadium last December, a contest in which Pep Guardiola described the Citizens' performance as "terrible".</span><br /> <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">The visitors were two goals down after only five minutes and three adrift after 20 minutes of action. Guardiola's decision to deploy a high defensive line backfired with Pablo Zabaleta caught out in a hybrid right-back/ holding midfield role. However, six of City's starting XI that day have left the club and the Citizens boss is unlikely to make the same mistakes again.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Man City 1.37 are bidding to become only the second team to win their first six away games to a Premier League campaign and have plundered 24 goals in their last eight away league dates. With 15 triumphs in 17 trips to sides outside the top-seven since the start of last season, it's difficult to dismiss City here.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Leicester's five-match unbeaten streak came against clubs currently below them in the Premier League standings and with the Foxes suffering five losses in eight when welcoming top-six clubs, it's hard to find the faith in the home side pocketing maximum points, even at generous 9.80 odds.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Expect goals to flow</span><br /> <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Leicester's only defeats this season came against Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool but the Foxes have managed to score in each of their last 12 at the KP, including against Liverpool, Chelsea and Spurs. With City requiring a defensive reshuffle, the hosts should be capable of getting on the scoresheet.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Nevertheless, Leicester have leaked at least three goals in four of the last six visits from top-six sides and with Manchester City scoring goals for fun, backing the Citizens to succeed in a high-scoring showdown appeals.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Considering three of City's last six games as guests have featured Over 3.5 Goals, investing faith in a Manchester City success alongside Both Teams To Score at 6/4, as well as backing Over 3.5 Goals 2.04 appears our best angles of attack.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Recommended Bets</span><br /> <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Back Manchester City to win and Both Teams To Score @ 6/4 in Leicester v Manchester City</span><br /> <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Back Over 3.5 Goals @ 2.04 in Leicester v Manchester City</span><br /> <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span> <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZHHVCGQvhNsPF8WCUZQXVwCcLx2F5AdPC9MkpnzqxsAFpB1mC_LoMAXmfIAcdqFKBNi6kmWxp1BREEw1dXwstBrMvdVt8q7Sv4piDvAvai-CUSRrSl2kwhSk5qjq8MoThuhQUj6z_V6Y/s1600/Manchester-City-vs-Leicester151079925310.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="347" data-original-width="594" height="372" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZHHVCGQvhNsPF8WCUZQXVwCcLx2F5AdPC9MkpnzqxsAFpB1mC_LoMAXmfIAcdqFKBNi6kmWxp1BREEw1dXwstBrMvdVt8q7Sv4piDvAvai-CUSRrSl2kwhSk5qjq8MoThuhQUj6z_V6Y/s640/Manchester-City-vs-Leicester151079925310.jpg" width="640" /></a><span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>

They made their best ever start to a Bundesliga campaign, collecting 19 points from their first seven games. Since then, almost nothing has gone right. They have taken just one point from four league matches, conceding 12 goals in the process. Their Champions League hopes have all but <strong style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">evaporated,</strong>after four matches that have been so bad that BVB aren't even certain to finish third and drop into the Europa League.</span></div> <div style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-variant-numeric: inherit; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 1.5em; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">To make matters worse, the behind-the-scenes angst that ultimately spelled doom for former BVB coach Thomas Tuchel appears to have remained despite the arrival of new boss <strong style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">Peter Bosz.</strong> Over the summer, Ousmane Dembele effectively went on strike in a bid to force his move to Barcelona, and now his close friend <strong style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang</strong> is behaving badly too.</span></div> <div style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-variant-numeric: inherit; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 1.5em; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Last season's top scorer in the Bundesliga has been suspended by the club for disciplinary reasons, after he allegedly turned up late for training. It's not the first time the Gabon international has clashed with the top brass in Dortmund, and it's been alleged that Aubameyang sees himself as "untouchable", given his status as the club's star player.</span></div> <div style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-variant-numeric: inherit; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 1.5em; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Aubameyang will miss Friday night's trip to Stuttgart, a task that was already going to be difficult for Bosz's side. That's been the extraordinary start that Wolfsburg coach <strong style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">Martin Schmidt</strong> has made at the Volkswagen Arena. Although the Wolves are still in relegation danger, there have been some really <strong style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">encouraging signs.</strong></span></div> <div style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-variant-numeric: inherit; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 1.5em; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Firstly, Wolfsburg have shown great fighting spirit, coming back from behind to get results time and time again. Also, the team is <strong style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">scoring goals</strong> - they have netted in all seven of Schmidt's league games, and in three of those matches they have scored at least twice.</span></div> <div style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-variant-numeric: inherit; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 1.5em; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">With the way Wolfsburg are playing, a first league win under Schmidt doesn't feel too far away, and Saturday could be the day. Freiburg are <strong style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">dreadful</strong> away from home, and have lost four of their five away games this season, conceding an eye-watering 16 goals in the process. Going further back, SCF have lost seven of their last eight league games on their travels.</span></div> <div style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-variant-numeric: inherit; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 1.5em; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">Recommended Bet</strong><br /><strong style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"><span style="border-color: initial; border-image: initial; border-style: initial; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit;">Back Wolfsburg -1.0 on the Asian Handicap at [2.03]</span></strong></span></div> <div style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-variant-numeric: inherit; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 1.5em; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /><strong style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"><span style="border-color: initial; border-image: initial; border-style: initial; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit;">Schalke v Hamburg</span></strong><br /><strong style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">Sunday November 19, 14:30</strong><br /><strong style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">Live on BT Sport 2</strong></span></div> <div style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-variant-numeric: inherit; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 1.5em; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Although I still don't think Domenico Tedesco's carefully considered football is going to set any pulses racing, you can't deny that the new Schalke boss is having a <strong style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">positive effect</strong> on the Royal Blues. Schalke are in the Champions League slots, and have won four of their last five games in all competitions.</span></div> <div style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-variant-numeric: inherit; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 1.5em; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Schalke have only won one of their last four home games, but I think they'll improve on that record against Hamburg this weekend. It says a lot that HSV are starting to pin their hopes on 17-year-old wonderkid <strong style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">Jan-Fiete Arp,</strong> who has scored in their last two games, including the 3-1 win over Stuttgart on Matchday 11.</span></div> <div style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-variant-numeric: inherit; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 1.5em; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Hamburg are still a pretty <strong style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">disjointed bunch,</strong> and they are atrocious away from home. The Redshorts have lost their last four games on their travels, and struggling coach Markus Gisdol seems incapable of finding the answers. In 2017, Hamburg have lost ten of their 14 away matches in the Bundesliga, and they've leaked 33 goals along the way.</span></div> <div style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-variant-numeric: inherit; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 1.5em; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Schalke aren't perfect, but their players are getting used to Tedesco's demands, and there is a <strong style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">unity of purpose</strong> that wasn't always there under Markus Weinzierl last season. This should be a comfortable home win, so wait for there to be some liquidity in the Asian Handicap market, and give Schalke a goal handicap.</span></div> <div style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-variant-numeric: inherit; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 1.5em; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">Recommended Bet</strong><br /><strong style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"><span style="border-color: initial; border-image: initial; border-style: initial; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit;">Back Schalke -1.0 on the Asian Handicap at odds of around </span><span class="inline-odds" style="border-radius: 2px; border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; font-weight: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px 3px; position: relative; text-decoration-line: none; vertical-align: baseline;" title="1/1">2.00</span></strong></span></div> <div style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-variant-numeric: inherit; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 1.5em; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjItowp4dOKe-6RErmPu2HkwwXxgRkEFxmBBoL0c-IXu1lp-4jX7tnhhYCWP0Y4rUehvQyGR0aTGQfQc-cZcrC_dGEtHz4C4QNxhmujf5k0Et5uoWliJUxU1O6z8CdSlYj6ZfJ3W7QgPek/s1600/83T-_Stuttgart_bvbnachricht_teaser_top_regular.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="420" data-original-width="570" height="470" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjItowp4dOKe-6RErmPu2HkwwXxgRkEFxmBBoL0c-IXu1lp-4jX7tnhhYCWP0Y4rUehvQyGR0aTGQfQc-cZcrC_dGEtHz4C4QNxhmujf5k0Et5uoWliJUxU1O6z8CdSlYj6ZfJ3W7QgPek/s640/83T-_Stuttgart_bvbnachricht_teaser_top_regular.jpg" width="640" /></a><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"><span class="inline-odds" style="border-radius: 2px; border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; font-weight: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px 3px; position: relative; text-decoration-line: none; vertical-align: baseline;" title="1/1"><br /></span></strong></span></div>

Manchester United v Newcastle United: Lukaku to fire hosts to victory

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Manchester United v Newcastle United</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Saturday November 18, 17:30</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Live on BT Sport 1</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Moody Mourinho looking to close the gap at the top</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">When Jose Mourinho is at the helm of a club, tension and angst are never too far away. With Manchester United now trailing their crosstown rivals City by eight points in the title race, fears are growing that Mourinho's irascible behaviour may get worse before it gets better, and the 1-0 defeat at his old club Chelsea before the international break won't have helped his mood.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">First there was the flirtation with French giants PSG, an undisguised admiration for the club that could be seen as a cynical bargaining ploy, as the Portuguese coach discusses terms on a new deal with United. Mourinho has also been repeatedly vocal about the club's injury problems, even though he has one of the deepest and most expensively-assembled squads in Europe. In the case of Phil Jones, Mourinho has a point - it is extraordinary that a player that clearly wasn't fit was used by England in a friendly, and now Jones seems highly unlikely to face Newcastle this weekend.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Michael Carrick, Marcos Rojo, Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are all on the mend, with the latter two in contention for a place on the bench on Saturday. Regardless of their injury situation, Manchester United can take solace from their outstanding home record against Newcastle - Opta tell us they have won 22 of their last 32 league games against the Magpies at Old Trafford, and have lost just once.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">After a bright start, Magpies are in danger of losing altitude</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">After taking 14 points from their first 11 games, there no doubt that newly-promoted Newcastle United have made a solid start to the Premier League season. Despite a lack of investment in the squad over the summer from an owner looking to sell the club, manager Rafa Benitez has mixed and matched, and has made the most of the tools at his disposal.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">However, the last couple of games have set alarm bells ringing. They showed a lack of ambition in a 1-0 defeat at Burnley, and then allowed their home game against Bournemouth to slip away from their grasp. The Magpies dominated the opening exchanges against the Cherries, but totally lost their way in the second half, and Steve Cook's last-gasp header provided a fully-deserved winner for Bournemouth.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">As they prepare for a trip to Old Trafford, Newcastle know their wretched away form has to improve. They have won just once on their travels this season in the league, and they've failed to score in three of their five away games. If you stretch back into Newcastle's last Premier League campaign, you see that the club has won just one of its last 16 away matches in the top flight.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Newcastle look set to be without promising young midfielder Mikel Merino, while Christian Atsu (thigh) and Jamaal Lascelles (ankle) are both racing to be fit.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Hosts should be too strong, so back them to win well</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Manchester United have won all of their home games in all competitions this season, and seven of those eight victories have been by a margin of two goals or greater.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Newcastle are struggling to score consistently at the moment, so I don't think it's unreasonable to suggest that the hosts can win by at least two goals. Back them -1.5 on the Asian Handicap at 1.93.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Overs or unders a difficult call to make</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The Over/Under 2.5 Goals market is split down the middle, and I'm not surprised. Newcastle's problems in front of goal and Benitez's good defensive organisation might lead you towards backing unders at 2.02, but overs may appeal at 1.90 when you consider that bet has paid out in five of United's eight home matches this season.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Back Lukaku to end his United goal drought</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">You can't keep a good man down for long, and even though Romelu Lukaku hasn't scored in any of his last seven appearances for the Red Devils, he did score three goals in two games for Belgium over the international break. If Jamaal Lascelles is absent from the Newcastle central defence, Lukaku can take advantage. I'm happy to back him to score in 90 minutes.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Recommended Bets</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Back Manchester United -1.5 on the Asian Handicap at 1.93</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Back Romelu Lukaku to score at 1.80</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkG1_eXcOekcFMxRhqhCe0vZTIv8o92RQh0NsAQioBZoUN809AvRQnv2NjEbrlt4fLGCkG4MJytS1Fg5BoCIp5U9BXr5R-NAxfiiCkCj79mg07gdbqp3NeVS-MiuFA2WpzB7bZuz7wCp4/s1600/Jose-Mourinho-Romelu-Lukaku-Football365.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="367" data-original-width="700" height="334" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkG1_eXcOekcFMxRhqhCe0vZTIv8o92RQh0NsAQioBZoUN809AvRQnv2NjEbrlt4fLGCkG4MJytS1Fg5BoCIp5U9BXr5R-NAxfiiCkCj79mg07gdbqp3NeVS-MiuFA2WpzB7bZuz7wCp4/s640/Jose-Mourinho-Romelu-Lukaku-Football365.jpg" width="640" /></a><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span><br /> <br />

Liverpool v Southampton: Saints will make Liverpool work for win

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Dan Fitch thinks that Liverpool will have to wait until the second-half for a winner against Southampton...</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Liverpool v Southampton</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Saturday, 15:00</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Liverpool on road to recovery</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">After a poor run of form that saw Liverpool only win two from ten games, Jurgen Klopp's side have found some consistency of late.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Since losing 4-1 to Tottenham in October, the Reds have won three consecutive games, all by a three goal margin. It's fair to say though that the level of opposition has not been particularly testing, with Liverpool beating Huddersfield and Maribor at home, followed by an away victory over West Ham that proved to be Slaven Bilic's last game in charge.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This Liverpool side are never too far away from a bad result and the forthcoming fixtures against Sevilla and Chelsea in the next week will be major tests. They are however, proving to be more adept this season at beating the opposition that you'd expect them to and on current form Southampton fall into that category.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Klopp is sweating over the fitness of a trio of players as his side embarks on the busy pre-Christmas period. Jordan Henderson, Adam Lallana and Sadio Mane are all doubts, while Nathaniel Clyne is definitely out.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Same old problems for Pellegrino</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">It's been a tough start to life at Southampton for Mauricio Pellegrino, who is experiencing the same problems that his predecessor suffered.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Claude Puel was sacked last season, despite the fact that he guided the team to an eighth placed finish and reached the League Cup final. Puel's quiet manner and Southampton's lack of goals, made his spell at the club seem underwhelming, even if he did achieve all that could be reasonably expected of him.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">While Puel has ended up back in employment at Leicester, Pellegrino has failed to make much of an impact during his brief time at the club. Southampton's 13 points after eleven games is exactly the same amount that Puel had at this stage of the season, while only four clubs have scored less goals that the Saints.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Pellegrino has a couple of injury problems ahead of the trip to Anfield. Mario Lemina and Jeremy Pied are both unavailable with injury.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Back the Saints to be level at half-time</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Liverpool are the 1.43 favourites, with the draw at 5.20 and Southampton at 9.20.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Though Liverpool should win there's no value in backing them at that price, especially as Southampton have a good record against them in recent seasons. Instead, consider the draw half-time/Liverpool full-time double result at 4.60, as Southampton have been drawing at half-time in two of their last three games.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Rare case of under 2.5 goals at Anfield</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Over 2.5 goals is the favourite at 1.71, with unders out at 2.28.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">When Liverpool are involved over 2.5 goals is generally favoured, but there is reason to believe that unders is where the value lies on this occasion. Southampton's last three games have all seen under 2.5 goals and when Liverpool have met defensively minded teams this season - Burnley, Newcastle, Manchester United - they've struggled to find the net.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Salah is value to continue scoring streak</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">One Liverpool player who certainly hasn't struggled to score at any point this season is Mohamed Salah.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The Egyptian has made a sensational start to life in a Liverpool shirt, having scored twelve goals in his first 17 appearances for the club. With Salah in that sort of form, odds of 2.20 for him to add to his tally are generous.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Recommended Bets</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Back the draw half-time/Liverpool full-time double result at 4.60</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Back Salah to score at 2.20</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhI0UDTBwSMWRzALng7tr47t7SNzWPN4xtNs6iBQE8YaWppE_IV4lJTwSExw9M2sKZfYEX7KxQ2gS-g7BLlqo3R07f8Beo4jgfX7wlb83zCZV2i5k4-IAINvJCpcETjuQl0aCmP2Mh2XOc/s1600/liverpool-celebrate_sxppeapbndrn12ghgv2g889ls.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="900" data-original-width="1600" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhI0UDTBwSMWRzALng7tr47t7SNzWPN4xtNs6iBQE8YaWppE_IV4lJTwSExw9M2sKZfYEX7KxQ2gS-g7BLlqo3R07f8Beo4jgfX7wlb83zCZV2i5k4-IAINvJCpcETjuQl0aCmP2Mh2XOc/s640/liverpool-celebrate_sxppeapbndrn12ghgv2g889ls.jpg" width="640" /></a><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span>

Saturday Championship 3pm Kick-Offs: Lions can tame the Black Cats

But we then suffered a set-back in the last round of fixtures as both Villa and Derby lost at home. We should have stayed on the away success bandwagon!</span></div> <div style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-variant-numeric: inherit; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 1.5em; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">But fear not, we're back on it this weekend as once again a trio of away teams <strong style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">make plenty of appeal</strong> in the Championship, starting with Millwall's trip to Sunderland.</span></div> <div style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-variant-numeric: inherit; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 1.5em; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I'm not even going to apologise for sounding like a broken record, because at this point you can just skip the next few paragraphs if you choose as I'm simply just going to reiterate how dreadful the Black Cats are at the <strong style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">Stadium Of Light</strong>.</span></div> <div style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-variant-numeric: inherit; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 1.5em; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Sunderland haven't won a single game in front of their own fans in the whole of 2017, that's a run of 19 games. They're also rock bottom of the Championship following a run of 13 games without a win. They haven't even got a permanent manager, and even one of their joint caretaker bosses, Billie McKinlay has <strong style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">jumped ship</strong>, leaving <strong style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">Robbie Stockdale</strong> in charge of first team matters on Saturday.</span></div> <div style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-variant-numeric: inherit; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 1.5em; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">In a nutshell then, Sunderland are in a mess. And yet we are being offered odds of just <span class="inline-odds" style="border-radius: 2px; border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; font-weight: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px 3px; position: relative; vertical-align: baseline;" title="5/4"><span style="border-color: initial; border-image: initial; border-style: initial; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit;"><b>2.30</b></span></span>about a team that hasn't won on home soil for almost a year. Of course, we don't have to take those odds, so we won't. Until the Black Cats turn the corner - and it may be this weekend - then I'll <strong style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">keep opposing them</strong> at the Stadium Of Light.</span></div> <div style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-variant-numeric: inherit; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 1.5em; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Admittedly Millwall aren't in great form either, but <strong style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">Neil Harris</strong>' men have performed with credit since being promoted from League One and already have claimed the scalps of Leeds and Norwich, while away from home they've avoided defeat against highflying teams like Bristol City and Cardiff.</span></div> <div style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-variant-numeric: inherit; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 1.5em; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Yet again this is a match that the Sunderland faithful will expect their team to win, and if matters don't go their team's way early then they'll soon <strong style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">show their discontent</strong>. I put up Dean Smith's men as <strong style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">potential dark horses</strong> at the start of the campaign, and I'd still wager that they'll go close to securing a play-off slot. And if you look at the <strong style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">current form</strong> of these two sides then there's an argument to suggest that Brentford should be a lot shorter to win this game than they currently are.</span></div> <div style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-variant-numeric: inherit; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 1.5em; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Cardiff have won just two of their last six, and in front of their own fans they've failed to win three of their last five, registering blanks against both Derby and Millwall.</span></div> <div style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-variant-numeric: inherit; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 1.5em; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The Bees on the other hand have recovered from a dreadful start to the new season and are now in brilliant form. Smith's men are <strong style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">unbeaten in eight league games</strong>, including four wins from their last five matches, and away from home they really look in good shape, taking 10 points from the last 12 available and scoring 10 goals in the process.</span></div> <div style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-variant-numeric: inherit; line-height: 1.5; margin-bottom: 1.5em; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"> <span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">In <strong style="border: 0px; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">Ollie Watkins</strong> Brentford have a striker going places; plucked from the lower leagues the youngster has really found his feet of late, scoring five goals in a seven-game run, and I fancy he'll be key in helping his side to another impressive away performance.</span></div> <div style="border: 0px; Fulham v Derby: Clinical Rams can pile more misery on Cottagers

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Fulham v Derby</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Saturday 18th November, 17:30</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Live on Sky Sports</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Fulham in turmoil</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Fulham entered the international break on the back of a five-match winless streak, including a chastening defeat when visiting table-toppers Wolves. The Cottagers have slumped to 17th in the standings with head coach Slavisa Jokanovic coming under increasing pressure.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The Whites are also undergoing a bit of turmoil behind the scenes following the sacking of data specialist Craig Kline, leaving many supporters frustrated following a poor summer of transfer activity and lack of on-field progress since finishing in the play-off positions last season.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Holding midfielder Kevin McDonald is suspended for Saturday's encounter but winger Sheyi Ojo is back in training. Elsewhere, Jokanovic must decide whether to persist with Denis Odoi at centre-half or recall Tomas Kalas to the team.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Derby aiming to get back on track</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Derby's impressive seven-match unbeaten run of results propelled the Rams briefly into the Championship top-six but a shock 4-2 home defeat to Reading in their last outing saw County slide to seventh.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Gary Rowett likened the start of his side to a Halloween horror show with a sluggish opening made worse by the early departure of injured skipper Richard Keogh. Derby's captain is fit enough to return to the fold this weekend.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Meanwhile, the Rams have proven clinical operators in the final third - only six second-tier sides have landed fewer on-target attempts this term - with Sam Winnall, David Nugent, Bradley Johnson and Matej Vydra all chipping in with regular goals.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Cottagers make little appeal</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Fulham [2.45] have collected only two points from a possible 15 of late with three of their five defeats arriving against the current top-six. With the Cottagers bagging a sole success in eight outings at Craven Cottage this season, it's difficult to find the faith in supporting a home success.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The Whites are unbeaten in their last seven home league matches against Derby (W2-D5-L0) with Brian Clough the last visiting boss to taste success in West London, way back in 1969. But County will feel they're well-equipped to end that winless record this weekend.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Derby 3.45 have claimed four triumphs in their last five fixtures and look well worth supporting at 1.72 in the Double Chance market.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Back County's clinical attack to fire</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Both Teams To Score has copped in seven of Derby's eight road trips this term and the same selection has banked in five of Fulham's past six fixtures in front of their own supporters. Unfortunately, the layers are well aware of such strong trends with BTTS as skinny as 1.46.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Goals should be forecast with only four clean sheets kept by the hosts in 31 Craven Cottage clashes since the start of last season and with Derby notching at least twice in each of their past five encounters, it may pay to support the guests scoring two goals or more at 17/10.</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Recommended Bets</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Back Derby double chance @ 1.72 in Fulham v Derby</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Back Derby to score two goals or more @ 17/10 in Fulham v Derby</span><br /> <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span> <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7VPJ20A1Nmy73YspPPG3doGd_oY3sn2vZIsFXnuiwebrc9qQw5JgBhQqU3AZdE8RYtXfDCW7R6Pt_TLpkgrxPtFuRojWkz0SyddWWeT7gr7rJeiw162cxW9NFOb0MUqFagDRRmfM-ktY/s1600/BPI_IT_Fulham_Derby0594.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="530" data-original-width="942" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7VPJ20A1Nmy73YspPPG3doGd_oY3sn2vZIsFXnuiwebrc9qQw5JgBhQqU3AZdE8RYtXfDCW7R6Pt_TLpkgrxPtFuRojWkz0SyddWWeT7gr7rJeiw162cxW9NFOb0MUqFagDRRmfM-ktY/s640/BPI_IT_Fulham_Derby0594.jpg" width="640" /></a><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span><br /> <br />
