The Adelaide Strikers won’t have to wait too long to seek revenge on the Hobart Hurricanes after they were hammered by the Canes on Monday by 8 wickets. The Hurricanes had little trouble chasing down the total, with Hurricanes opener D’Arcy Short blasting 60 off 39 balls, while skipper Tim Paine steadied the ship with 41 off 42 balls. The big question is how much will the Adelaide Oval impact a change in fortune for the Strikers after they were comprehensively beaten in Hobart. The Strikers made 196 runs in their loss to the Heat in their opening BBL 06 match at the Adelaide Oval and won their last match at the Adelaide Oval against the Sixers, bowling them out for 104. The trick for Strikers coach Jason Gillespie is to get his side to perform in both disciplines of the game on the same night. It’s do-or-die for the 1-3 Strikers and The Wolf is expecting them to turn the tables on the Hurricanes back in front of their home fans.
