Silva speculation coincides with Watford slump

Watford's fine start to the season has hit a difficult patch, as Marco Silva's side have failed to win any of their last six games.
As a result the Hornets have slid down to tenth and now are a mere six points from the relegation zone. In the last two games they have lost to two promoted sides in Huddersfieldand Brighton, leaving them to try and turn around their poor run against a Leicester side in decent form.
It's perhaps no coincidence that Watford started to struggle when Silva was heavily linked with a move to Everton. The Portuguese manager denies there is a link between Watford's form and the speculation, but history shows that players tend to down tools when they suspect their manager won't be around for long.
Silva's job is not being made easier by the amount of players he has unavailable to him. Troy Deeney is serving a suspension, Craig Cathcart, Nathaniel Chalobah, Femenia, Tommy Hogan and Younes Kaboul are all out, while Miguel Britos and Will Hughes are both doubts.

Foxes back on the up after epic comeback

Leicester will go into this game on a high after fighting back to draw with Manchester United, despite having had a man sent off.
The Foxes took the lead before going 2-1 down, only for Harry Maguire to score in the 94th minute to equalise. The draw added to Leicester's list of positive results under Claude Puel and saw them bounce back after suffering a 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace in their previous Premier League outing.
Leicester have only lost two of their ten league games since Puel took charge and along with Everton, can look to target Burnley in seventh place, which may well provide a route into European football for next season.
Like his counterpart at Watford, Puel also has players missing for this Boxing Day clash. Daniel Amartey will serve his suspension after being sent off against Manchester United, while Robert Huth and Matty James are both ling-term casualties. Danny Simpson faces a late fitness test to determine whether he will feature.

Leicester big price to avoid defeat

Watford are 2.48 to win, with Leicester at 3.00 and the draw at 3.60.
It's puzzling to see Watford rated as favourites considering their poor form, though it has pushed Leicester out to an appealing price that provides plenty of options.
Leicester are 2.16 in the Draw No Bet market and a healthy 1.63 to avoid defeat if you back them Double Chance.

Shot-shy Watford can find net against Foxes

Over 2.5 goals is 1.84 with unders at 2.08.
Watford have been reliable scorers this season until recently, with the Hornets having only scored three goals in their last five games.
Yet it would be a risk to go for under 2.5 goals as Leicester have seen three goals or more in each of their last four Premier League games. They've conceded in each of their last five games and Both Teams To Score is 1.70.

Vardy nice price to score 51st goal

Jamie Vardy was stuck on 49 Premier League goals for several games until he hit his 50th against Manchester United on Saturday.
With that achievement in the bag, Vardy looks a good price at 2.50 to add to his tally against Watford's leaky defence.
