The Premier League delivered a classic at Anfield today as Liverpool and Spurs traded early and late goals, gave us penalties missed and scored, and bucketfuls of drama in a fixture that ended 2-2.

In a classic game of two halves Liverpool were comfortably the better side in the opening 45, scoring through Mo Salah in the second minute, but were then forced to suck up plenty of Tottenham pressure after the break.

And the resistance was finally broken in the 79th minute when Victor Wanyama smashed in an absolute rocket to level the game. Liverpool had been backed into 1.26 before the Kenyan's decisive strike.

Spurs then fluffed a golden chance to take the win when Harry Kane saw a poor penalty saved by Loris Karius.

And the pain was compounded when Salah scored an injury time winner. The home side were backed at 13.00 to win before Salah's second goal, but Jurgen Klopp's side were in to 1.02after the Egyptian's late effort only to see the linesman rule for another penalty in the 93rd minute.

Kane made no mistake that time - landing in-play bets at 90.00 on over 3.5 goals - and the game ended with a point apiece and the clubs still two points apart in the Premier League.

Liverpool are 1.31 to finish the season in the Champions League places, with Spurs out to 1.80.

The day's earlier fixture ended 1-1 in a result that will have come as a disappointment to bothCrystal Palace and Newcastle.

Rafa Benitez's visitors took an unexpected lead when Mo Diame prodded home from a first-half corner but were pegged back after the break by a Luka Milivojevic penalty. Palace pressed hard for a winner, and Newcastle were occasionally dangerous on the break, but neither were side were able to decisively take their chances.

Newcastle end the day one point above the drop zone and 3.15 to go down, Palace are clear by three and can be backed at 8.60.
