Simona Halep v Sloane Stephens
Will it be 4th time lucky for Simona Halep??? The Wolf doesn’t think so. She may be the number 1 ranked player in the world but The Wolf cannot look past the facts that she has consistently come up short in big matches. Halep was a overwhelming favourite a year ago in the final against Ostapenko but failed to cash in after being up a set and 3-0. All three off her major finals have gone the distance and she has lost the deciding set each and every time! Stephens on the other hand… one slam final, one win. Her 6-3 6-0 win over Madison Keys in the 2017 US Open final was as dominant a performance as we have seen in a major final. Stephens has been the most consistent player in the draw. She has kept her unforced error count to a minimum as is winning a tournament high 67% of points behind her 2nd serve. The Wolf is shocked to see the price on offer for Stephens and will be taking full advantage!
Best Bet: Stephens +3.5 ($1.85)

Rafael Nadal v Dominic ThiemIf number is what you like, The Wolf has plenty for you. Nadal’s record at the French Open reads 85-2 which translates to 10 finals and 10 French Open titles. He owns Court Philippe-Chatrier and it will take a monumental effort for Thiem to challenge him. The Austrian has been getting closer… He has won 3 of the 9 meetings between the pair, all on clay, including their most recent at the Madrid Masters. In his 3 victories against Nadal he has made 67% if 1st serves, won 69% of those points and managed to claim 61% of points behind his 2nd serve. In his two matches against Rafa at the French he has won just over 50% of points behind his 1st serve and barely 40% on his second. Nadal over 5 sets on clay is a different beast but The Wolf says he may be helped by the conditions. There have been instances in the past where Rafa has looked vulnerable, namely when it is overcast and rainy. It was the case against Novak in the 2012 final where Djokovic was on a roll. Rain stopped play and when they returned the next day, so did the sun. The same happened against Schwartzman in the quarters this year and The Wolf is predicting mother nature to play a part in this one. He will be backing both players to win a set and says Thiem could send this the distance!
Best Bet: Both Player Win A Set – YES ($1.85)
