2020 NRL Round 19 – Tips, Predictions & Odds
We have expert betting tips for all NRL Round 19 games this week, which kicks off with the Rabbitohs vs. Bulldogs on Thursday night.
There is only two weeks left in the NRL regular season and the top eight is already decided. However, the top eight positioning can change with every game, so it’s all on the line this week.
Thursday 17/9/20
7:50pm South Sydney Rabbitohs vs. Canterbury Bulldogs @ ANZ Stadium
The Bulldogs are odds-on to win the wooden spoon this season and they will likely struggle on Thursday night.
South Sydney are coping well without Latrell Mitchell, narrowly escaping with a win against the Tigers last week.
They get a much easier game to this week and they should win comfortably.
Betting tip: Rabbitohs –16.5 @ $1.90

Friday 18/9/20
6:00pm North Queensland Cowboys vs. Penrith Panthers @ Queensland Bank Stadium
The Cowboys don’t stand much chance this week against a rampaging Penrith Panthers outfit.
They played well against Melbourne Storm last week and they were able to score 20 points, but the Panthers aren’t in the mood for letting up.
They are coming off a tough win over the Parramatta Eels, where they exercised their class late in the game. Expect a strong performance from the outset on Friday night.
Betting tip: Panthers –15.5 @ $1.90

7:55pm Parramatta Eels vs. Brisbane Broncos @ Bankwest Stadium
Another easy victory should come when the Eels take on the hapless Brisbane Broncos.
The Eels suffered a defeat at the hands of the Penrith Panthers last week, but they didn’t lose any admirers.
It was a strong performance, especially compared to the awful showing from the Broncos against the Gold Coast Titans.
15.5 points isn’t easy to cover but the Eels should be too strong.
Betting tip: Eels –15.5 @ $1.90

Saturday 19/9/20
3:00pm Manly Sea Eagles vs. Gold Coast Titans @ Lottoland
Manly had to dig deep to get past the Bulldogs last week, but they looked good the second half and it should give them confidence.
However, the Titans have been one of the form teams over the last few weeks, and their confidence couldn’t be any higher.
Coming off a win over the Broncos, the Titans are now 12th on the NRL ladder, after looking like wooden spoon contenders for most of the season.
It should be a close game so go with the value side.
Betting tip: Titans to win @ $2.60

5:30pm Melbourne Storm vs. Wests Tigers @ Sunshine Coast Stadium
The Melbourne Storm came through their game against North Queensland with a win, and that form should continue this week.
They are facing the Tigers, who only narrowly suffered defeat last week, but they are now out of contention for a playoff spot.
It is another game that bookmakers have as one-sided, but we don’t think the Tigers are 17.5 points worse than Melbourne.
Betting tip: Tigers +17.5 @ $1.90

7:35pm Sydney Roosters vs. Cronulla Sharks @ SCG
The Sharks will likely rest a few players this week, as they secured a spot in the finals with a win over the Warriors.
That is reflected in the market, with bookmakers installing the Roosters as 17.5-point favourites. It is a big margin to overcome, but the Roosters have playoff positioning to play for.
Much like the Tigers game, we don’t think the Sharks are 17.5 points worse than Sydney. They fight well, and they will be looking for momentum heading into the playoffs.
Betting tip: Sharks +17.5 @ $1.90

Sunday 20/9/20
4:05pm Canberra Raiders vs. New Zealand Warriors @ GIO Stadium
Playoff dreams for the Warriors were dashed on Sunday night when losing to the Cronulla Sharks.
They played well and led with five minutes to go, but they gave up two late tries and they will miss the 2020 playoffs.
Canberra could pounce this week, as the Warriors will be lacking energy. However, the Warriors are a proud team and they shouldn’t lose by more than 15.5 points.
The Raiders aren’t a team that puts up big numbers easily, so the value is with the Warriors.
Betting tip: Warriors +15.5 @ $1.90

6:05pm Newcastle Knights vs. St George Dragons @ McDonald Jones Stadium
Newcastle were smashed by the Roosters last week, but they have been able to rebound well throughout the season.
The Dragons were also well-beaten in Round 18, and this could be a good time for the Knights to regain their confidence.
Bookmakers are showing trepidation in the market, but the Knights should cover the 7.5-point spread.
Betting tip: Knights –7.5 @ $1.90
