Sunday Sports Multiple: Back a Newcastle win in a 13/2 weekend wager

Pandora Hughes has lined up another weekend multiple and she's banking on Newcastle to get the better of Brighton on Sunday.

Bet 1: Back Newcastle to beat Brighton at 17/10

Newcastle defied the pundits last time round and they did so again to kick off the 2020-21 campaign with an excellent win at West Ham.

The circus surrounding the ownership of the club dominated the headlines during the season, but the Magpies deserve some credit for having recruited astutely, and with Callum Wilson, Jamal Lewis, Ryan Fraser and Jeff Hendrick in their ranks, it now looks like they might be able to improve on last season's 13th place.

Brighton have also made a habit of proving the critics wrong under Graham Potter but with new signings Adam Lallana and Ben White doubtful for this game, they may struggle to contain a confident Newcastle team, and if they can reproduce last week's form, the home side look excellent value here.

Bet 2: Kings XI Punjab to beat Delhi Capitals at 5/4

After missing out on a final spot in the 2019 IPL, Delhi Capitals will be aiming to start strong when they get their 2020 campaign underway on Sunday, but they will be up against the tournament's most dangerous opening partnership.

KL Rahul and Chris Gayle both made the top six in the batting rankings last season, and with the in-form Glen Maxwell recruited to boost the middle order, the Kings XI line-up has more balance this time round.

Delhi have a solid squad, but they've lost a couple of key players in Chris Woakes and Jason Roy and they may once again lack firepower in the closing overs, so at odds against, it could be worth taking a chance on Kings XI.

Bet 3: Back Newcastle Knights to beat St George/Illawara Dragons at 2/7

Newcastle Knights may have booked their place in the NRL Finals, but there is still work to be done if they are to earn a home tie in the knock-out stages and coach Adam O'Brien will be demanding more after a 42-12 thrashing by the Roosters.

The Dragons have a good record at McDonald Jones Stadium, having won an impressive 17 of their last 21 games at the venue, and the Knights will have to improve defensively on what we saw last week to get the win here.

The return of Kalyn Ponga, Hymel Hunt and Mitchell Barnett will help, and also in their favour is the fact that the Dragons have nothing to play for after a 37-8 defeat to the Raiders ended their Finals hopes. This looks like being a scrappy encounter, but the Knights have the greater motivation and should be able to edge it.

Total Odds for this multiple: 13/2. Remember, multiple prices are based on our Sportsbook product, so any winnings are exempt from commission.
