Football Tips: Our podcast experts' best bets this weekend

A summary of the best bets for this weekend's Premier League, La Liga, Serie A and Bundesliga from the Football...Only Bettor podcast team of Kevin Hatchard, Mark O'Haire and Jake Osgathorpe...

Premier League - Title odds

Kevin: After losing to Leicester last weekend Man City are out to 2.74 for the title on the Betfair Exchange. Liverpool are in to odds-on at 1.94 after winning all three of their opening games."

Mark: "It's hard not to be alarmed by City after the defeat. They look feeble. Liverpool deserve to be favourites right now."

Premier League This Weekend

Everton v Brighton - Saturday

Mark: "Brighton have been really unlucky so far and don't deserve to be where they are in the table. There's been a slight overreaction to Everton's start in the top four and top six finish markets.

"For this game goals is the way to go. Over 2.5 goals and both teams to score at around [2.13] is the bet."

Leeds v Man City - Saturday

Mark: "I'm keen to go against City here. Leeds will be licking their lips. They can land a blow against City. Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals at around 1.80 is the call."

Southampton v West Brom - Sunday

Jake: "I think Saints will kick on after they beat Burnley 1-0 last week and can win this one."

Aston Villa v Liverpool - Sunday

Mark: "I was so impressed with Liverpool against Arsenal. Villa have improved immeasurably since lockdown. But I expect Liverpool to win. I'm looking at Liverpool to win by a single goal at 3.80."

Arsenal v Sheffield Utd - Sunday

Jake: "Sheffield Utd have been backed into third favourites for relegation. That's an overreaction to their bad start. I have massive reservations about Arsenal. I can see this being a tight game. Under 2.5 goals appeals to me at around 1.90."

Manchester United v Tottenham - Sunday

Mark: "United look impotent going forward and a bit of a shambles defensively. They are under-priced here. Spurs have a horrific schedule - this will be their third match of the week - so it's quite hard to read where they're at. I wouldn't be a surprised by a draw 3.75 here."

Jake: "United look sluggish. I agree that the draw is a decent bet."

Serie A, Bundesliga & La Liga

Lazio v Inter

Jake: "I'd be looking at goals. Inter have scored nine goals in two matches and we're seeing pure carnage in their matches. Both teams to score and over 2.5 is short at around 1.70. I'm happy to back Romelu Lukaku at 10/11 to score."

Juventus v Napoli

Mark: "I wouldn't put anyone off laying Juve or trying to get Napoli onside. Both teams to score is massive at 1.80 in a match between two attack-minded teams."

Schalke v Leipzig

Kevin: "Back Leipzig to win and Hwang Hee-chan to score on the same game multiple. Keep an eye on the team news and, if Hee-chan doesn't start, then include Aleksander Sorloth is 10/11 to score."

Barcelona v Sevilla

Mark: "Sevilla can caused Barca a few roadbumps. Barca are potentially a bit short at 1.60. But for me it's a sit back and wait and see how they do against Celta Vigo on Thursday."

Jake: "How can you not be impressed by this Sevilla team? They're capable of causing problems for Barca. I was pleasantly surprised to see under 2.5 goals at around 2.50 so if I'm pushed to have a bet that's the one."

Betfair Podcast OddsBoost - Was 10/3, Now 9/2
