ATP Tour Finals: Day 6

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;">Dominic Thiem v David Goffin</b><span style="background-color: white;">The Wolf CANNOT believe that Goffin is installed as the outsider for this one and he is very close to pushing all the chips in on the Belgian. The bookies have clearly read too much into his defeat against Dimitrov. He was always going to be spent after a marathon win over Nadal and he will be much fresher for this one. He is also 7-3 lifetime against Thiem including win in both of their encounters this season – one of which came on Thiem’s preferred clay surface. Goffin is in fact 5-1 in matches played on surfaces other than clay and on this fast court it will be Goffin who makes his way through to take on Federer.</span><br style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box;" /><strong style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit; text-decoration-line: none;"><span style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;">Best Bet: Goffin WIN ($2.00)</span></strong></span><div>

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;">Pablo Carreno-Busta v Grigor Dimitrov</strong><br style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box;" /><span style="background-color: white;">Carreno-Busta more than held his own as Nadal’s alternate and he gets one last chance to shine on the big stage. He has multiple wins over Dimitrov but The Wolf says any results on clay are irrelevant. In their only meeting on a hard court it was Dimitrov who posted a crushing 6-4 6-1 win. The Bulgarian was flawless against Goffin and the most important part was that he really went on with it once he got his nose in front. Dimitrov has the opportunity to use this match to practice certain tactics that he may want to use against Sock and one of those will be the slice backhand up the line. Dimitrov to really roll through him in the second set.</span><br style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box;" /><strong style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit; text-decoration-line: none;">Best Bet: Dimitrov -4.5 ($2.05)</strong></span></div>

Rugby International: England v Australia

<strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">England vs Australia<br style="box-sizing: border-box;" />Sunday 2:00am<br style="box-sizing: border-box;" />at Twickenham Stadium, Londo</span></strong><br />
<strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></strong>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">After disposing of Japan and Wales in consecutive weeks a trip to Twickenham to face the old enemy awaits Michael Hooper and his side in what is shaping up as a blockbuster pre-Ashes teaser.</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Selection News</span></strong></div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">For just the second time in his 3 year tenure as Wallabies Coach Michael Chieka has named an unchanged starting XV. The major news is the inclusion of Adam Coleman with the Wallabies enforcer under an injury cloud all week, he will combine with veteran Rob Simmons in the second row. Karmichael Hunt will again start off the bench with Cheika preferring to stick with the rampaging centre paring of Samu Kerevi and Tevita Kurindrani.</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Two crucial inclusion for the home side with World Rugby player of the year nominees Owen Farrell and Maro Itoje back in the 23 after both resting last week. Farrell will start at 12 partnering Jonathan Joseph in the centres with Henry Slade dropping out of the XV. Somewhat surprisingly, Eddie Jones has opted for a second row pairing of Joe Launchbury and Courtney Lawes, with Maro Itoje to come off the pine. The other news is England fullback and all-round flog Mike Brown will be on the sidelines after suffering from concussion issues following the narrow win over Argentina, Anthony Watson will line up in his place, with Jonny May and Elliot Daly rounding out the back three.</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Last time they met</span></strong></div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">3rd December 2016 – England 37 – 21 Australia</span></div>

<strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Stats that matters</span></strong></div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">– England have certainly had the wood on the Wallabies over the last 12 months or so beating the men in gold on their last 4 encounters by an average margin of almost 12 points.<br style="box-sizing: border-box;" />– The Red Rose remain unbeaten at home under Eddie Jones, winning each of their last 12 games at the home of Rugby. Their last loss at the venue, was a certain Rugby World Cup pool game when a resounding Wallabies victory sent England packing out of their own tournament – how unfortunate…</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Key Match-Up</span></strong></div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Owen Farrell vs Samu Kerevi</span></strong></div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">So many intriguing match ups to keep an eye on in this one. TPN vs Hartley, Coleman vs Lawes, Genia vs Youngs but the one that has the Wolf most excited is the battle at inside centre between Samu Kerevi and Owen Farrell. Two very different playing styles, Farrell – the second playmaker, has taken his game to another level in 2017. He was outstanding on tour with the Lions with his brave defence and flawless goal kicking playing a big role in the northerners coming away with a drawn series. Samu Kerevi is an exciting prospect for Australian Rugby, still just 24, the big bustling centre has the potential to tear a game open with his strong carries and smart offloading game. Question marks around his defence remain, and if he wants to become a regular starter in this Wallabies side for years to come he needs to answer the critics with a complete performance on Sunday Morning (AEDT).</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The Form</span></strong></div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">England vs Australia is always going to be a much anticipated game regardless of what’s on the line. Perhaps the thing that makes this edition that little but more meaningful is the outstanding form of both sides leading into this clash. Just two years out from the World Cup and it seems like week by week both Australia and England are closing the gap between them and the All Blacks. The Wallabies are unbeaten in their last 7 victories. Whilst they lacked a bit of polish last week they were always going to be too god for an understrength Wales side. England on the other hand have won the last 2 Six Nations championships and have lost just the one game since the 2015 World Cup – to an impressive Ireland side in Dublin earlier this year. They looked rusty in their first proper hit out in 6 months last week against Argentina, but with a number of big names returning this week The Wolf is expecting a vast improvement.</span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">How it’s shaping</span></strong></div>
<div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The marquee match of the Wallabies Spring tour and its set to be an absolute beauty. England have built an extraordinary amount of depth from 1 through to 15 under Eddie Jones and consequently they perhaps boast the most well rounded team in International Rugby. Their tight 5 is immense and it is going to take a big effort from the Wallabies up front to gain parity at set piece and line out time. The thing the Australians do have in their favour however is an inform, settled line up that is really starting to click. The Wolf believes that a Wallabies victory in London is a distinct possibility and will stem from huge games from their X-factor players such Sean McMahon, Will Genia and Kurtley Beale. Unfortunately he is of the belief that England will be too powerful for the Aussies and will scrape home in a classic.</span></div>

RSM Classic: Preview and Tips

<div style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Course</span></strong></div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The host of the RSM Classic 2017 is the Seaside Course at Sea Island, Georgia. This will be the eighth year that the course hosts this tournament at its links-style layout Par 70. Playing at just over 7000 yards, this is not a long course by any stretch of the imagination. It has some pretty wide fairways to hit and the green complexes are pretty generous as well.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The weather is expected to start out clear but then get cloudy as the week progresses. The current forecast is for some rain on Sunday. The wind can be a significant factor on this course and that is expected to fluctuate through the weekend as well.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Tournament Overview</span></strong></div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The RSM Classic is a full field event with a cut at the end of two rounds. Previous winners of the tournament include Chris Kirk in 2013, Robert Streb in 2014, Kevin Kisner in 2015, and Mackenzie Hughes is the defending champion having won in 2016.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Accuracy off the tee and the ability to get into birdie scoring positions with good iron play will be critical this week. The greens are actually pretty fast and catch out golfers who are having some trouble with their short game.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Stats That Matter</span></strong></div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The Wolf thinks the scoring stats hold the key this week on what is a relatively easy course this week. The stats to watch out are:</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">– Strokes Gained: Tee to Green<br style="box-sizing: border-box;" />– Birdie or Better Percentage<br style="box-sizing: border-box;" />– Par 4 Scoring</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The rough is not the most unforgiving on this course and the real hazard is going to be the wind so scrambling may not be as important although some people may want to use it as an additional measure.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The course record here was set by<strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;"> Kevin Kisner</strong> who scored a 22 under par (260) to win in 2015. Hughes had 17 under Par (265) last year and the scores ranged between 14 under Par to 16 under Par from 2010-14.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The conditions play a huge role in the kind of scores that golfers end up with and with some rain and gusts of win expected later into the weekend, the Wolf thinks this year’s winning total might be closer to 12-14 under Par.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Predictions</span></strong></div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The Wolf is predicting course record holder and previous champion <strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;">Kevin Kisner</strong> at $17.00 to do it all again. This will be his first tournament of the new season and like Rickie Fowler last week, the Wolf expects him to start strong. His last tournament was the Tour Championship where he finished T3 at and lets not forget his brilliant play at the Presidents Cup.  Kisner loves playing at this course and has an excellent knowledge of how to approach different holes. His ability to hit the ball long will come in handy allowing him to gain strokes on the field and the fact that the fairways are pretty wide allows him to really crush the ball without too much fear of missing the short grass. He has played this tournament multiple times winning it in 2015, coming in 4th in 2014, and 20th the year before that.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Consistency is something that we should not ignore and that’s why the Wolf has made Matt Kuchar at $21.00 his value pick. Kuchar has started a little slow this season recording a T31 at the WGC HSBC Champions but this course should be right up his alley. Driving distance is not a factor but accuracy is certainly going to help the players here and that is exactly what Kuchar brings to the table. He finished last season strongly with a T5 and a T10 so form is not a factor either. He has played the RSM Classic five times and finished in the top-25 each time with a best finish of 7th. His course knowledge is exceptional and should allow him to contend this weekend. Kuchar is also 28th in strokes gained: tee to green and 15th in Par 4 scoring. At $21.00 for the win, he is definitely excellent value.</span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The Wolf’s long shot this week is relatively mild at $34.00 but he does love himself some <strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;">Zach Johnson.</strong> He lives close to the course and plays this set up regularly making it hard to look past him. The reason that a player of Zach Johnson’s ability is getting these odds in a relatively weak field is that he appeared to be struggling at the OHL Classic last week. There was something off about his game and the Wolf is hoping it was just down to some rust. He did still end up managing to finish T23 and so he should be much higher when he really starts hitting his stride. His form at the RSM Classic has also fluctuated wildly. He tends to either finish in the top 20, which he has done twice or not make the cut, which he has done three times as well. The Wolf is still happy to take a chance with him especially with Zacj having a history of playing great golf in tough conditions. If the winds pick up he will shoot up the leaderboard.</span></div>

A-League Tips Round 7

<div style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;">Central Coast v Adelaide – (Thur 7:50pm)</strong>To say that last week was emotional for the Mariners is an understatement. Their first win of the season and 2nd in their last 14 A-League games game against the defending champions and best team in the land. For coach Paul Okon it was the culmination of hard work and there can be no denying that they were the better side. De Silva continue to put on masterful displays while Pain, Hoole and Asdrubal look effective on the counter. they will be hurt by the fact that skipper Baro will be missing through suspension. The Wolf has not been shy to back against Adelaide in recent weeks but they will get some bodies back on deck. Matmour and Diawara may return to the starting XI after coming off the bench while Absalonsen is still a couple of weeks away. Nevertheless, The Wolf says the theme in this one will be goals. Both teams have found the back of the net in the last 8 encounters with the Over 8-0 along the way. The numbers don’t lie – goals!<br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /><strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit; text-decoration-line: none;">Best Bet: Both Teams To Score – YES ($1.50)</strong><br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /><strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit; text-decoration-line: none;">Value Bet: Over 3.5 goals ($2.60)</strong></span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;">Brisbane v Melbourne City – (Fri 7:50pm)</strong><br style="box-sizing: border-box;" />The Roar salvaged a point last week but their ability to get a result had more to do with the Victory’s absentee list than their own qualities. Now they must try to break down the A-League’s best defence. The Wolf simply cannot see it happening. Brisbane have failed to score more than once in 5 of their 6 games this season and outside of the 3 goals against the Phoenix have just 3 goals for the season. They are alarming numbers and with City at full strength across the back The Wolf is very happy to lay the hosts. The Under is 6-3 in the last 9 meetings and neither side has shown the ability to create chances with ease. McCromack has scored the last 4 Melbourne City goals but the last 3 have come from set pieces so don’t expect fireworks. City to grind their way to a win on the back of a stellar defensive display.<br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /><strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;">Best Bet: Under 2.5 goals ($2.05)</span><br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /><span style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;">Value Bet: Teams To Score – Melbourne City Only ($4.00)</span></strong></span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;">Western Sydney v Wellington – (Sat 5:35pm)</strong>You wouldn’t believe it but the Wanderers took a lead into half time for the 4th time in their last 5 games yet failed to collect all 3 points. It is becoming a far too familiar theme and the Wanderers are becoming the draw specialists. The Phoenix are coming off their first win of the season after putting 5 past the Glory but The Wolf says to sweep last weeks result under the carpet. They have lost their last 4 away league matches and conceded 3 or more goals in 3 of them. Furthermore they have conceded multiple goals in 10 of their last 13 away fixtures and have gone down to the Wanderers in 5 of the last 7 meetings. They may be short in the market but The Wolf says the Wanderers will be winning.<br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /><strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit; text-decoration-line: none;">Best Bet: Western Sydney WIN ($1.57)</strong><strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit; text-decoration-line: none;"><br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /><span style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;">Value Bet: HT/FT – Western Syd/Western Syd ($2.35)</span></strong></span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;">Sydney FC v Newcastle – (Sat 7:50pm)</strong><br style="box-sizing: border-box;" />The Sky Blues lost their first A-League fixture in 15 matches last week and this week their 19 games unbeaten run at home goes on the line. They will take on the team holding down top spot for the second time in three weeks. A fortnight ago they beat Melbourne City by a solitary goal and this week they will take on the high flying Jets. Ernie Merrick has done some job since going to Newcastle. The Jets are undefeated but it’s the style of football they are playing which is turning heads. They lead the league with 15 goals and are playing to their strengths – the front quartet. Sydney FC are undefeated in their last 13 against the Jets with 11 wins in that stretch! The numbers don’t look good for the Jets. They have failed to score in 11 of the last 12 meetings including the last 6. It’s cause for concern but The Wolf says this is a very different Jets side. They are however yet to meet the top two sides who are ironically also the two best defensive sides. With the Under going 11-1 in the last 12 meetings and Graham Arnold renowned for setting up compact in big matches The Wolf says there will be nothing between them. After conceding twice last week Sydney will be completely focused defensively. <strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;"><br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /><span style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;">Best Bet: Both Teams To Score – No ($2.05)</span></strong><strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;"><br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /><span style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;">Value Bet: Under 2.5 goals ($2.25)</span></strong></span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;">Perth v Melbourne Victory – (Sun 7:00pm)</strong>The longest domestic trip in world football was not a pleasant one for the Glory but they return home where they have won their last 4 and 8 of their last 10. The Victory conceded late and we won’t know the playing status of Milligan, Troisi and Barbarouses up until the side is finalised an hour before kick off. We saw them back up from international duty last time but with this game in Perth it may be a different story. The Glory have won the last 3 meetings at nib Stadium and the theme in this series, as in many involving the Glory, is goals! Both teams have found the back of the net in 10 of the last 11 meetings with the Over going 4-1 in the last 5 matches in the west. Until the Victory get all of their bodies back on deck The Wolf is more than happy to back against them.<br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /><strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit; text-decoration-line: none;">Best Bet: Perth WIN ($2.50)</strong><strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit; text-decoration-line: none;"><br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /><span style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;">Value Bet: Perth Glory Over 2.5 goals ($4.00)</span></strong></span></div>

Rugby League World Cup – Quarter-Finals

<h5 style="box-sizing: border-box; font-weight: normal; line-height: 1.4; margin: 0.2rem 0px 0.5rem; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;">Rugby League World Cup Preview and Tips</span></h5>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The pool matches are done and dusted and we’re getting to the business end of the season, starting with the World Cup Quarter-Finals this weekend. The giant-killing Tongans will be looking to continue on their winning run, while all signs point to a Kangaroos and Kiwis semi-final clash. The Wolf’s best bet is <b style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;">New Zealand -14.5</span>.</b></span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;">Australia v Samoa</strong>As was expected before the World Cup started, Australia topped Pool A with ease, winning all three of their pool games and have only conceded 10 points along the way. Meanwhile, Samoa can count themselves extremely lucky to make it to the quarter-final stage after finishing with a 1-2 record through the pool stage, while a side like Ireland had two wins and missed out because only the winner of their group progressed. Samoa could only manage a 14-all draw with Scotland in their final pool game, hardly the form you want to be taking into a quarter-final clash with the powerhouse that is Australia. The Kangaroos and Samoa have clashed twice before, with Australia winning 66-10 at the 2000 World Cup and 44-18 during the 2014 Four Nations. If Samoa could only score 14 against Samoa, it’s hard to see how they’ll be able to put points on an Australian side which has only given 10 points through three matches. Michael Morgan has won the battle for the No.6 jersey over the Melbourne Storm’s Cameron Munster in a Kangaroos side, with 16 of the 17 players who played in the opener against England. Rain is forecast for Darwin on Friday night, so it will be up to Australia to adapt to the situation and might have to grind out a result depending on the conditions. The 32.5 line could be tricky to play this far out, so The Wolf is going to take the unders, with Samoa likely to struggle to put points on the board and the weather could have an impact.<br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /><strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;">Best: Under 48.5 ($1.88)</span><br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /><span style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;">Value: Australia to win to nil ($4)</span></strong></span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;">Tonga v Lebanon</strong>Tonga have been one of the surprise packets of the tournament, winning their three pool games including an upset win (as predicted by The Wolf at $3.35) over New Zealand last weekend to top Pool B and set up a much easier run through the knockout stages, starting with Lebanon this weekend. The additions of Andrew Fifita and Jason Taumalolo cannot be understated, while Sio Siua Taukeiaho has revelled in the prop role. Lebanon have already overachieved and created history by making the quarter-final stage, but it’s hard to see them progressing much further over a red-hot Tongan side. The Cedars were held scoreless against Australia last week, but showed plenty of fight in the first half, trailing 10-0 at half-time before the floodgates opened up and the Kangaroos wrapped it up 34-0. Tonga is on a roll and it’s not going to stop now, with a World Cup Final berth a strong possibility.<br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /><strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit; text-decoration-line: none;">Best: Tonga -28.5 ($1.90)</strong><br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /><strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit; text-decoration-line: none;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;">Value: Tonga -28.5 & Over 46.5 ($2.80)</span></strong></span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;">New Zealand v Fiji</strong>The Kiwis will have to do it the hard way after their shock 28-22 loss to Tonga last week and will now have to beat both Fiji, and most likely Australia just to reach the World Cup Final. The Kiwis held a 16-2 lead over Tonga at half-time, but couldn’t contain a rampant Tongan side in the second half. This is a massive danger game for the Kiwis and the loss to Tonga could be the wake-up call that they needed. Fiji have scored the most points (168) in the tournament and have conceded just 28 points through their three pool games. The counterargument to this is that Fiji have had one of the softest draws to date, with pool matches against the USA, Wales and Italy. This is Fiji’s grand-final and The Wolf isn’t sure if they’re up to the step up in class against a fired up Kiwi side.<br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /><b style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit; text-decoration-line: none;">Best: New Zealand -14.5 ($1.90)</b><br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /><strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit; text-decoration-line: none;">Value: New Zealand to score 31-40 points ($3.15)</strong></span></div>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">

<div style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;">England v PNG</strong>England are still the side to challenge Australia for World Cup glory according to The Wolf, despite the rise of Tonga at this tournament. The move of Gareth Widdop to fullback to cover the injured Jonny Lomax worked a treat in the 36-6 win over France last week. Widdop ran the ball 18 times for 166 metres, scored a try and had two try-assists. England will also be boosted by the return of the injured Sam Burgess in their bid to book a semi-final spot. PNG have had the luxury of playing all of their pool games in Port Moresby, and haven’t faced any of the heavyweights, with wins over Wales, Ireland and USA. England defeated PNG 36-10 during the 2010 Four Nations and The Wolf is expecting a similar scoreline here. <strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;"><br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /></strong><strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit; text-decoration-line: none;">Best: England -14.5 ($1.90)</strong><br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /><strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit; text-decoration-line: none;">Value: England to win by a margin of 21-30 points ($5)</strong></span></div>

ATP Tour Finals: Day 4

<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;">Grigor Dimitrov v David Goffin</b>Both men are coming off tough 3 set victories and the winner will qualify for the semi’s regardless of the result in their final group match. Goffin’s win over Nadal was a career highlight but The Wolf has him coming back down to earth. Dimitrov holds a 6-1 edge in their H2H and it has to do with the matchup more than anything else. His variety – slice backhand and net approaches really disrupt the rhythm of Goffin who loves to trade blows from the baseline. The Bulgarian will constantly press his opponent and it will take it’s toll.<br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /><strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit; text-decoration-line: none;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;">Best Bet: Dimitrov WIN ($1.53)</span></strong></span><br />

<span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;">Pablo Carreno-Busta v Dominic Thiem</b><br style="box-sizing: border-box;" />Carreno-Busta replaces the injured Nadal and The Wolf is ready to rally behind him. Since the US Open we have exclusively bet against Thiem in the handicap market and will continue to do so. 5 of the 6 meetings between the pair have been on clay so you can virtually forget about their previous encounters. As mentioned by The Wolf in the past Thiem is a completely different player on clay and his game is not suited by fast indoor surfaces. His first serve percentage is hovering around 50% over his last two matches and that means he is there for the taking. Take Carreno-Busta with the start and outright.<br style="box-sizing: border-box;" /><strong style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit; text-decoration-line: none;">Best Bet: Carreno-Busta +3.5 ($1.85)</strong></span><br />

ATP Tour Finals: Day 6

Dominic Thiem v David GoffinThe Wolf CANNOT believe that Goffin is installed as the outsider for this one and he is very close to pushing all the chips in on the Belgian. Goffin is in fact 5-1 in matches played on surfaces other than clay and on this fast court it will be Goffin who makes his way through to take on Federer.
Best Bet: Goffin WIN ($2.00)

Pablo Carreno-Busta v Grigor Dimitrov
Carreno-Busta more than held his own as Nadal’s alternate and he gets one last chance to shine on the big stage. Dimitrov to really roll through him in the second set.
Best Bet: Dimitrov -4.5 ($2.05)

Rugby International: England v Australia

England vs Australia
Sunday 2:00am
at Twickenham Stadium, Londo

After disposing of Japan and Wales in consecutive weeks a trip to Twickenham to face the old enemy awaits Michael Hooper and his side in what is shaping up as a blockbuster pre-Ashes teaser.

Selection News

For just the second time in his 3 year tenure as Wallabies Coach Michael Chieka has named an unchanged starting XV. The major news is the inclusion of Adam Coleman with the Wallabies enforcer under an injury cloud all week, he will combine with veteran Rob Simmons in the second row. Karmichael Hunt will again start off the bench with Cheika preferring to stick with the rampaging centre paring of Samu Kerevi and Tevita Kurindrani.

Two crucial inclusion for the home side with World Rugby player of the year nominees Owen Farrell and Maro Itoje back in the 23 after both resting last week. The other news is England fullback and all-round flog Mike Brown will be on the sidelines after suffering from concussion issues following the narrow win over Argentina, Anthony Watson will line up in his place, with Jonny May and Elliot Daly rounding out the back three.

Last time they met

3^rd December 2016 – England 37 – 21 Australia

Stats that matters

– England have certainly had the wood on the Wallabies over the last 12 months or so beating the men in gold on their last 4 encounters by an average margin of almost 12 points.
– The Red Rose remain unbeaten at home under Eddie Jones, winning each of their last 12 games at the home of Rugby. Their last loss at the venue, was a certain Rugby World Cup pool game when a resounding Wallabies victory sent England packing out of their own tournament – how unfortunate…

Key Match-Up

Owen Farrell vs Samu Kerevi

So many intriguing match ups to keep an eye on in this one. Question marks around his defence remain, and if he wants to become a regular starter in this Wallabies side for years to come he needs to answer the critics with a complete performance on Sunday Morning (AEDT).

The Form

England vs Australia is always going to be a much anticipated game regardless of what’s on the line. They looked rusty in their first proper hit out in 6 months last week against Argentina, but with a number of big names returning this week The Wolf is expecting a vast improvement.

How it’s shaping

The marquee match of the Wallabies Spring tour and its set to be an absolute beauty. Unfortunately he is of the belief that England will be too powerful for the Aussies and will scrape home in a classic.

RSM Classic: Preview and Tips

Course

The host of the RSM Classic 2017 is the Seaside Course at Sea Island, Georgia. This will be the eighth year that the course hosts this tournament at its links-style layout Par 70. Playing at just over 7000 yards, this is not a long course by any stretch of the imagination. It has some pretty wide fairways to hit and the green complexes are pretty generous as well.

The weather is expected to start out clear but then get cloudy as the week progresses. The current forecast is for some rain on Sunday. The wind can be a significant factor on this course and that is expected to fluctuate through the weekend as well.

Tournament Overview

The RSM Classic is a full field event with a cut at the end of two rounds. Previous winners of the tournament include Chris Kirk in 2013, Robert Streb in 2014, Kevin Kisner in 2015, and Mackenzie Hughes is the defending champion having won in 2016.

Accuracy off the tee and the ability to get into birdie scoring positions with good iron play will be critical this week. The greens are actually pretty fast and catch out golfers who are having some trouble with their short game.

Stats That Matter

The Wolf thinks the scoring stats hold the key this week on what is a relatively easy course this week. The stats to watch out are:

– Strokes Gained: Tee to Green
– Birdie or Better Percentage
– Par 4 Scoring

The rough is not the most unforgiving on this course and the real hazard is going to be the wind so scrambling may not be as important although some people may want to use it as an additional measure.

The course record here was set by Kevin Kisner who scored a 22 under par (260) to win in 2015. Hughes had 17 under Par (265) last year and the scores ranged between 14 under Par to 16 under Par from 2010-14.

The conditions play a huge role in the kind of scores that golfers end up with and with some rain and gusts of win expected later into the weekend, the Wolf thinks this year’s winning total might be closer to 12-14 under Par.

Predictions

The Wolf is predicting course record holder and previous champion Kevin Kisner at $17.00 to do it all again. He has played this tournament multiple times winning it in 2015, coming in 4th in 2014, and 20th the year before that.

Consistency is something that we should not ignore and that’s why the Wolf has made Matt Kuchar at $21.00 his value pick. At $21.00 for the win, he is definitely excellent value.

The Wolf’s long shot this week is relatively mild at $34.00 but he does love himself some Zach Johnson. He lives close to the course and plays this set up regularly making it hard to look past him. If the winds pick up he will shoot up the leaderboard.

A-League Tips Round 7

Central Coast v Adelaide – (Thur 7:50pm)To say that last week was emotional for the Mariners is an understatement. The numbers don’t lie – goals!
Best Bet: Both Teams To Score – YES ($1.50)
Value Bet: Over 3.5 goals ($2.60)

Brisbane v Melbourne City – (Fri 7:50pm)
The Roar salvaged a point last week but their ability to get a result had more to do with the Victory’s absentee list than their own qualities. City to grind their way to a win on the back of a stellar defensive display.
Best Bet: Under 2.5 goals ($2.05)
Value Bet: Teams To Score – Melbourne City Only ($4.00)

Western Sydney v Wellington – (Sat 5:35pm)You wouldn’t believe it but the Wanderers took a lead into half time for the 4th time in their last 5 games yet failed to collect all 3 points. They may be short in the market but The Wolf says the Wanderers will be winning.
Best Bet: Western Sydney WIN ($1.57)
Value Bet: HT/FT – Western Syd/Western Syd ($2.35)

Sydney FC v Newcastle – (Sat 7:50pm)
The Sky Blues lost their first A-League fixture in 15 matches last week and this week their 19 games unbeaten run at home goes on the line.
Best Bet: Both Teams To Score – No ($2.05)
Value Bet: Under 2.5 goals ($2.25)

Perth v Melbourne Victory – (Sun 7:00pm)The longest domestic trip in world football was not a pleasant one for the Glory but they return home where they have won their last 4 and 8 of their last 10. Until the Victory get all of their bodies back on deck The Wolf is more than happy to back against them.
Best Bet: Perth WIN ($2.50)
Value Bet: Perth Glory Over 2.5 goals ($4.00)

Best Bets Round 7

Best Bet: Western Sydney WIN ($1.57)

Rugby League World Cup – Quarter-Finals

Rugby League World Cup Preview and Tips

The pool matches are done and dusted and we’re getting to the business end of the season, starting with the World Cup Quarter-Finals this weekend. The giant-killing Tongans will be looking to continue on their winning run, while all signs point to a Kangaroos and Kiwis semi-final clash. The Wolf’s best bet is New Zealand -14.5.

Australia v SamoaAs was expected before the World Cup started, Australia topped Pool A with ease, winning all three of their pool games and have only conceded 10 points along the way. The 32.5 line could be tricky to play this far out, so The Wolf is going to take the unders, with Samoa likely to struggle to put points on the board and the weather could have an impact.
Best: Under 48.5 ($1.88)
Value: Australia to win to nil ($4)

Tonga v LebanonTonga have been one of the surprise packets of the tournament, winning their three pool games including an upset win (as predicted by The Wolf at $3.35) over New Zealand last weekend to top Pool B and set up a much easier run through the knockout stages, starting with Lebanon this weekend. Tonga is on a roll and it’s not going to stop now, with a World Cup Final berth a strong possibility.
Best: Tonga -28.5 ($1.90)
Value: Tonga -28.5 & Over 46.5 ($2.80)

New Zealand v FijiThe Kiwis will have to do it the hard way after their shock 28-22 loss to Tonga last week and will now have to beat both Fiji, and most likely Australia just to reach the World Cup Final. This is Fiji’s grand-final and The Wolf isn’t sure if they’re up to the step up in class against a fired up Kiwi side.
Best: New Zealand -14.5 ($1.90)
Value: New Zealand to score 31-40 points ($3.15)

England v PNGEngland are still the side to challenge Australia for World Cup glory according to The Wolf, despite the rise of Tonga at this tournament.
Best: England -14.5 ($1.90)
Value: England to win by a margin of 21-30 points ($5)

ATP Tour Finals: Day 4

Grigor Dimitrov v David GoffinBoth men are coming off tough 3 set victories and the winner will qualify for the semi’s regardless of the result in their final group match. The Bulgarian will constantly press his opponent and it will take it’s toll.
Best Bet: Dimitrov WIN ($1.53)

Pablo Carreno-Busta v Dominic Thiem
Carreno-Busta replaces the injured Nadal and The Wolf is ready to rally behind him. Take Carreno-Busta with the start and outright.
Best Bet: Carreno-Busta +3.5 ($1.85)
