Lucas Pouille v Marius Copil

After a great finish to 2016 and a solid start to 2017 The Wolf was expecting big things from Lucas Pouille. Despite collecting multiple titles (Budapest and Stuttgart) he has under achieved in The Wolf’s eyes. He made it beyond the 3rd round at just one Masters Series event and the 4th Round of the US Open is as far as he went in the majors – all after making the quarters of Wimbledon and the US Open a year ago. He hasn’t taken the court since Flushing Meadows but Metz will feel like home. Not only is he a Frenchman, he was the winner here in 2016 beating Goffin and Thiem en route to the title. This one is completely on his racquet and with Copil registering just 2 wins in his last 10 he will be no match. Get right around Pouille!

Best Bet: Pouille -2.5 ($1.70)

Nicolas Almagro v David Goffin

Both men have suffered from injury and lack of form this season and have been well below their best. Somehow David Goffin is holding onto 12th spot in the ranking despite not having won a title since 2014! Almagro simply hasn’t played enough tennis as of late. With just on 20 matches for the season and 5 since the French Open he is definitely not battle ready – 6 of his last 7 mathces (best of 3 sets) have ended in straight sets so look for this one to be just as short. Cannot see him hitting the ball clean enough to challenge Goffin.

Best Bet: Under 21.5 games ($1.85)
