Bayern suffer domestic wobble

Two of the biggest names in European football meet having both won their opening games in Group E.
Bayern won 2-0 at Benfica, taking the lead after just ten minutes through Robert Lewandowski. Their record in the Champions League make them daunting opposition for any team in the group stage, but Ajax should draw some encouragement from Bayern's recent form.
The Germans are without a win in their last two games. They drew 1-1 at home with Augsburg last week, as they conceded a late equaliser and were beaten 2-0 by Hertha Berlin at the weekend. These results have seen Bayern lose their lead at the top of the Bundesliga, with Borussia Dortmund having now overtaken them.
Ajax are also second in their domestic league, with a 3-0 loss at PSV sending their rivals five points clear at the top of the Eredivisie. Ajax have since won their last two games, but the trip to Munich sees them taking a huge step up in class.

Back Bayern to make bright start

Bayern may be struggling, yet they should have too much class and experience for a young Ajax side.
Ajax were blown away in their defeat to PSV, conceding three goals in the first-half. Bayern have been leading at half-time in four of their last five Champions League victories and can be backed at 1.70 to win half-time/full-time.
