The Citizens firm as favourites to go back to back!
Nine games in and Manchester City are still the punters favourite to win the English Premier League title. The Citizens are paying just $1.57 despite Liverpool, Chelsea and a rejuvenated Arsenal all snapping at their heels. The forgotten side this season appears to be the Spurs who no one seems to be talking about despite Mauricio Pochettino’s side being just 2 points out of top position and equal with the Gunners.
Punters will have to wait until Monday to see the top sides playing on Matchday 10 with all of the big clubs playing Champions or Europa League football midweek.
See below for a list of midweek European results:
Manchester United v Juventus (0-1)
Shakhtar Donetsk v Manchester City (0-3)
PSV Eindhoven v Tottenham (2-2)
Liverpool v Crvena Zvezda (4-0)
Chelsea v BATE Borisov (3-1)
Sporting v Arsenal (0-1)

The Clarets have heart, but is it good enough for a result?
Vincent Kompany believes former teammate and Burnley goalkeeper Joe Hart can lift the Clarets, describing him as a ‘winner’ and ‘massive personality’. After conceding 5 goals against Manchester City last week Hart has a lot of work to do, starting with this match against the undefeated Chelsea.
If Kompany is to be believed Burnley have plenty of spirit and fight left in them which means that punters could find a surprise result in this match. Hazard missed Chelsea’s Europa League clash with BATE Borisov and they have a short break before their game at Turf Moor. The Wolf’s concern is that Burnley have lost that defensive strength that teams found so hard to break down last season.
They have conceded in 7 of their last 8 games and are unlikely to keep Chelsea goalless across 90 minutes. With that in mind the question becomes 1) can they break Chelsea down? and 2) who is that player who will score? That player is Sam Vokes although with just 5 shots and 0 on target against Manchester City we dont expect them to score in this game.
The Wolf thinks that Chelsea will get the win at Turf Moor putting the pressure on Sean Dyche to kick Burnley’s Premier League campaign into gear.

The Gunners on the hunt at Selhurst Park
Palace had their chances against Everton with a 60th minute penalty by Luka Milivojevic saved by England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford. Palace looked like they were going to secure a valuable point against the Toffees but late goals to Calvert-Lewin (87’) and Tosun (89’) stole a win at Goodison Park.
Roy Hodgson stressed that ‘you have to take your chances’ and that is something they will certainly need to do if they are going to get a result against the Gunners. Arsenal are in a deep run of strong form, have a tight defence and wonderful chemistry between Lacazette and Aubameyang. Whether it is true or not the beauty of their relationship is that there is ‘no competition’ which reminds the Wolf of other harmonious attacking combinations like Liverpool (Firmino, Salah, Mane) and Barcelona (Messi, Suarez, Coutinho).
It’s hard for the Wolf to see Crystal Palace keeping the Gunners scoreless. Only one team has kept a clean sheet against Arsenal this season and they are currently on top of the Premier League table (Manchester City). The Gunners only secured a win over Sporting in the last moments in Lisbon and the Wolf thinks that Palace may be able to exploit that crowded fixture with a result in this game.
