Club Brugge 5.50 v Atletico Madrid 1.68; The Draw 4.00 Tuesday 11 December, 20:00 Live on BT Sport Extra
Atletico in need of a final day victory
Atletico Madrid are top of Group A, but need a win away at Club Brugge in order to guarantee that they stay there.
With Borussia Dortmund only two points behind and with a superior head-to-head record, Atletico still have work to do. The good news for them is that Club Brugge are already guaranteed Europa League qualification, but can't make the knockout stages in the Champions League matches. It is Atletico who have the motivation.
The Belgians secured third place with a surprise 0-0 draw at Borussia Dortmund in the last round of games. They are not however, in good form. Brugge have only won three of their last eleven matches (D5 L3) and surrendered a lead in a 2-1 defeat at Waasland-Beveren at the weekend, after Benoit Poulain was sent off.
In contrast, Atletico are unbeaten in ten since losing 4-0 to Dortmund in Matchday 3. They are now only three points behind the La Liga leaders Barcelona in third place.
Spanish giants are generously priced
Considering Atletico's record in Europe and their need for a win, they are available at a decent price to claim victory at 1.68.
The obvious alternative is to back Atletico to win to nil at 2.80. Brugge have failed to score in their last two Champions League games, while Atletico have not conceded in their previous two outings in the competition.
