"Barcelona haven't won at Anoeta since 2007, and they were totally outplayed there in the league earlier this season."
Lay Barcelona at 1.58

Real Sociedad v Barcelona Thursday January 19, 20:15
A push for us last night, as Zulte Waregem beat Eupen 1-0 in Belgium with a late winner. Thank heaven for small mercies. We take our stake and run.

I'm going on a family holiday to San Sebastian in July, but I'm going to take you lot there first, because we're dropping in on Real Sociedad v Barcelona in the Copa del Rey.

Barcelona have a truly appalling recent record at Anoeta against the Basque side. Earlier this season they escaped with a 1-1 draw. after what their coach Luis Enrique described as the worst performance since he took charge.

You have to go back to 2007 for the last time Barca beat La Real in San Sebastian, and in their last last eight visits they have drawn three times and been beaten on five occasions.

Although Eusebio Sacristan's side recently suffered a sobering 4-0 home defeat to a rampant Sevilla, they have still won six of their last nine home matches in all competitions, and they just seem to go up a few gears when they welcome Barca to town.

Barcelona lost at La Real's Basque rivals Athletic Club in the previous round, before turning the tie on its head at Camp Nou. The Catalan giants have won just one of their last five away games in all competitions, and that was a victory at La Luga strugglers Osasuna. Barca will be without the injured Rafinha, while Aleix Vidal has been omitted despite a fine performance against La Palmas at the weekend.

Barca will field their stars, but they have come unstuck so many times at Anoeta in recent years, and I can't back them at 1.58. Given their patchy away form, and the fact that the hosts are a really dangerous team, I think a lay of Barcelona is in order.
