Bet 1: Newcastle (HOME) @ 1.53 (8/15)

It's been a fantastic campaign thus far for Newcastle United as they are on course to earn promotion straight back to the Premier League and after a decent run in the EFL Cup, they will be hoping to do the same in the FA version.

Rafa Benitez would probably have a statue built of him if he delivered silverware to Tyneside and while I doubt they'll actually win the competition, they should be able to see off Birmingham this evening.

The Blues are yet to win under Gianfranco Zola and four of his six games in charge have been at St Andrews. It really was a strange decision to sack Gary Rowett and the performances on the field have declined since he left.

Newcastle have already won 11 of their 15 home games this season in all competitions and that number should become 12 by the end of the night.

Bet 2: Liverpool (AWAY) @ 1.33 (1/3)

Jurgen Klopp will be bitterly disappointed that his team are having to even play this match as they should be beating League Two opposition at Anfield.

The manager opted to play a very youthful side that day and it didn't pay off, and while I expect a similar kind of line up today, I would imagine that he will have a couple of more familiar faces in it.

Plymouth are no mugs as they're second in League Two and they've only lost three times at Home Park all season. Nevertheless, if the Reds can weather what will surely be an early storm, it's difficult to imagine them not winning inside 90 minutes.

Bet 3: Lazio v Genoa (Over 2.5 goals) @ 1.66 (4/6)

This is a last 16 tie of the Coppa Italia and there's a pretty strong chance that we'll get at least three goals.

The hosts are in great form as they've won four of their last five fixtures and lost just two of their last 15 in all competitions. They beat Atalanta 2-1 on Sunday and they now trail the Champions League places by just a single point.

As far as the goals go, five of their last seven in Rome have seen over 2.5 backers collect and that includes a 3-1 victory over today's opponents in November.

Genoa need a boost as they've lost four on the bounce and they went down 4-1 at Cagliari at the weekend. They also conceded four against Palermo during that run in a 4-3 defeat and it's six losses in seven on the road.

It wouldn't surprise me if Lazio scored all three of the goals we needed themselves tonight, but even if they don't, overs still looks like fair value.

Bet 4: Southampton v Norwich (Under 2.5 goals) @ 2.05 (21/20)

The original third round tie between these two finished 2-2 but I can't see as many goals today.

The Saints fell to a disappointing defeat at Turf Moor at the weekend as their deficiencies in front of goal cost them again. They have only scored more than once in three of their last 16 outings in all competitions and it's just one in 10 at St Mary's.

Norwich have their own struggles as after their early season promise, the wheels have fallen off for Alex Neil's men. They have dropped to 11th in the Championship and were beaten by bottom of the table, Rotherham, at the weekend.
These two teams are devoid of confidence and while under 2.5 is far from guaranteed, it is a very generous price at above evens.
