Cagliari v Milan

We've had some thrilling final days in Serie A over the last few years, but this doesn't feel like it's going to be one of them. There are still a few issues to sort out, notably one in Crotone and Palermo, but in terms of finding three bets on this final day, we're reaching into the dark a little.

I supported Cagliari against Sassuolo last weekend, and boy did they let me down. Beaten 6-2, full of bad habits, and Massimo Rastelli will be keen to finish the season on a high.

Cagliari's last three games have produced 17 goals, and after Milan rediscovered the winning habit last week against Bologna, I feel that we could have some more goals in the Sardinian sunshine.

Milan have scored and conceded in their last six, Cagliari have done likewise in four of their last five, and if both teams are in the mood to impress on the final day, then we could be in for some fun.

The Sardinians are weakened by bans to Mauricio Isla, Marco Sau and Bruno Alves, but Diego Farias and Marco Borriello have had their shooting boots on lately. Suso returns from suspension to bolster Milan and their new 3-5-2 formation, but Mattia De Sciglio's campaign is over.

Granted, the last time these sides had Over 3.5 Goals was in 2011, but that was in the penultimate round of the season and we're in a similar scenario here. It's safe to say playing at 3pm local time in Sardinia will lead to a lot of defensive errors.

Torino v Sassuolo
Sunday, 19:45

Torino have done us plenty of favours this season, especially during their remarkable run of games featuring Over 3.5 Goals. In many ways, Sassuolo have turned into Torino, with their last six matches all going Over 3.5, culminating in that eight-goal thriller against Cagliari last time.

There's good reason for this, as Eusebio Di Francesco preaches free-flowing attacking football, but while his team was struggling, they had to go into their shell. Now they're playing the way that their Coach really wants them to. The injury crisis has also passed, so having a fully fit Domenico Berardi certainly helps your attacking options.

Andrea Belotti still has an outside chance of Capocannoniere and Torino will do everything they can to give him a shot at it, which should play into Sassuolo's hands. They love to counter-attack, and with Pietro Iemmello in such good form with three goals in the last two games, they have a man who can take chances.

Adem Ljajic is suspended and Davide Zappacosta injured, so Juan Manuel Iturbe steps in to support Belotti and Iago Falque.

Crotone v Lazio

I was going to steer clear of Crotone against Lazio, but I think there's a bet here in the game that will have much of the final day focus.

Lazio need to win to make sure of fourth place in the League, while Crotone surely must beat them to have any chance of staying up. Empoli travel to Palermo, and should they lose there, then a draw would be enough for Crotone thanks to their superior head-to-head record (goal difference is irrelevant in Serie A). But if Empoli draw, then Crotone must win.

That would have seemed impossible a few weeks ago, but now that Crotone have beaten Inter and drawn with Milan here, then they have an outside chance, particularly given the fact that the influential Keita Balde Diao is suspended for Lazio, along with Senad Lulic. Marco Parolo and Federico Marchetti are also injured, but Thomas Strakosha returns after missing last week's defeat to Inter with flu.

Let's not forget that when these sides met in January, it took a last-gasp Ciro Immobile strike to give Lazio the points.

Remember that results from elsewhere could affect the way that this game plays out (if Empoli are 3-0 up, then Crotone will lose all hope) and so keep stakes low, but I believe that Nicola will get this right tactically (as he has been doing in recent weeks) and that will give his team a chance.

Lazio will want to finish fourth, but won't be desperate to, as there isn't a huge difference between fourth and fifth, and so I'll cautiously recommend Crotone as my final bet of the season.
