FFA Cup Feature Previews
Bankstown Berries v Sydney FC – Tue 7:30pmThe Berries have taken full advantage of a favourable draw but run into the ultimate test – the reigning A-League champions. It couldn’t come at a worse time for the Berries who have been in terrible form. They have lost 3 of their last 4 state league matches and are languishing in 10 spot on the ladder. They have a very young squad built around two veterans – Perry Moustakas and Dominic Hudap. Moustakas spent over a decade in the Cypriot league – a league which Tommy Oar now calls home. He netted what turned out to be the winner against Metro Stars but will have his hands full trying to stop the likes of Bobo and Ninkovic. Sydney put 8 past Darwin last time out and Graham Arnold has made it clear that he wants his side to keep that killer instinct!
Best: Teams To Score – Sydney FC Only ($1.64)
Value: Over 4.5 goals ($2.20)
Bentleigh Greens v WSW – Tue 7:30pmLet it be known… the standard in the Victorian NPL competition is not that far off the A-League, especially when we look at the top few teams. South Melbourne have already made their way into the quarter finals while other sides such as Green Gully and the Greens has already had deep runs in the past. A year ago Bentleigh Greens went down to Melbourne Victory at the same stage of this competition but it wasn’t without a big fight. They held on for over an hour before two goals in the space of 4 minutes cost them. They have never conceded more than 3 goals against A-League opponents in this competition and The Wolf is expecting them to turn this one into a real dog fight.
Best: Under 2.5 goals ($2.50)
Value: Correct Score WSW 2-0 ($8.00)
