Football Bet of the Day: Badalona to have bad case of deja vu

A Swedish slip-up last night, as Trelleborg and Helsingborg teased us, but then ultimately let us down. It was 1-1 after 51 minutes, but that crucial third goal wouldn't come. I need to learn some new Swedish curses.

To Spain now, and a Copa del Rey tie that has caught my eye for one main reason. Badalona are facing Elche, just three days after they were demolished 5-1 by the same opponents in the league. Badalona have only taken one point from their first two Segunda B games of the campaign, and stretching back into last season they have only won one of their last five home matches.

Elche suffered relegation last season, and now find themselves in the third tier. However, they have made an unbeaten start to life in their new division, and after such a comprehensive victory on Sunday, they have to be confident about their visit to the Estadi Municipal.

It's early in the season, and this is a bit of a swing for the fences, but Elche were 3-0 up and cruising by half-time on Sunday. I'm backing Los Ilicitanos to win again tonight.
