Expansion was the talk of the A-League last week with two new sides preparing to enter the competition in the coming seasons. Western Melbourne will begin playing next season (2019-20) whilst Macarthur South West Sydney will join in 2020-21.
The Wolf tipped a $7.03 multi in Round 8 and was 5/7 in best bets. Let’s take a look at all the action from Round 9 of the A-League.

Can the Glory finally find a win against the Sky Blues?
Sydney FC have won their last 8 matches against Perth although the Wolf knows that the Sky Blues side that dominated the Glory under Graham Arnold is a very different side to the team currently playing under Steve Corica.
The Glory will have their hands full against the Sky Blues who have better options in attack than the Jets had in their 2-0 win last weekend. Liam Reddy barely made a save after a few chaotic minutes in the first half. The Wolf thinks that the Glory defence will be able to absorb the Sydney FC pressure and Tony Popovics side will get another win at home.
BEST BETS: Perth Glory ($2.48)

MELBOURNE CITY (WLWLW) ($3.30) v MELBOURNE VICTORY (WWWWW) ($2.13
Derby #2 a whole new ball game for City
Whilst City took a 2-1 win against the Victory in their first game of the season, Kevin Muscat’s side have now developed into one of the toughest teams in the A-League. So much has changed since that match in October with Bruno Fornaroli now dropped from the side and the Victory’s imports building better chemistry.
The Victory have scored 12 goals in their last 4 matches and are fantastic value to win at $2.13. The Wolf used them to build value into the multi last weekend when they defeated the Roar 2-4 at Suncorp Stadium and we have followed a similar pattern in Round 9.
BEST BETS: Melbourne Victory ($2.13)
