7:10pm Port Adelaide Power vs. Western Bulldogs @ Adelaide Oval

The Western Bulldogs were no match for the Richmond Tigers last week and a better effort will be needed against the Power.

Port Adelaide got back to their winning best with an 83-32 win over Melbourne. It was a good bounce-back effort from the Power, who have played well throughout the 2020 season.

It doesn’t come as a surprise to see bookmakers siding with Port Adelaide. They shut down a dangerous Demons side in Round 9 and playing at home is always a positive.

Punters have confidence in the Power and so do we.

7:10pm Richmond Tigers vs. Brisbane Lions @ Metricon Stadium

A blockbuster Tuesday game goes off this week as the Tigers face the Lions. Both teams are coming off Round 9 victories and both wins were mightily impressive.

Richmond scored a 90-49 win over Western Bulldogs and one of the wins of the round went to the Lions. Brisbane defeated the Essendon Bombers 91-28 in one of the more comprehensive recent victories in the AFL.

If the Lions can recapture that form, they’re a team that could go all the way. The same can be said for Richmond, which is why bookmakers have framed such a close market.

We are going with the Lions based on their Round 9 performance.

5:40pm Geelong Cats vs. North Melbourne Kangaroos @ Gabba

Geelong have been tough for punters to follow this season but there were positives to take from last week’s loss.

The Cats scored 10 goals and only four behinds in the loss to the West Coast Eagles. It was a competitive game and it holds them in good stead against the Kangaroos.

However, North Melbourne is coming off a season-defining performance against the Adelaide Crows. Granted, the opposition was awful, but the 119-50 win was a step in the right direction.

The current line is set at 15.5 points and the Cats might have a tough time covering that margin.

Betting tip: Kangaroos +15.5 @ $1.90

8:10pm Adelaide Crows vs. Melbourne Demons @ Adelaide Oval

The season couldn’t be going any worse for the Adelaide Crows, who slumped to another big loss last week.

The 119-50 loss to the North Melbourne Kangaroos was uninspiring and reflective of a team that has clearly given up in 2020.

Looking to add more pain to the Crows’ season are the Melbourne Demons, who want to rebound following their loss to Port Adelaide Power.

Melbourne has much more upside than the Crows, so we are expecting a comfortable win, despite playing in Adelaide.

5:40pm Collingwood Magpies vs. Sydney Swans @ Gabba

The 2020 season has been a success for the Collingwood Magpies, but losing to the Fremantle Dockers wasn’t a good performance.

They will be hoping it was just a blip on the radar after going down 61-49 on Sunday afternoon. Fremantle were on their game, however, scoring 10 goals and only one behind.

The Swans looked to have their season on track but they also suffered a Round 9 loss. A hefty 101-48 defeat to the Saints has once again put them on the backfoot.

A close game is expected on Thursday night but the edge goes with Collingwood.

Betting tip: Magpies to win @ $1.38

8:10pm Gold Coast Suns vs. St Kilda Saints @ Metricon Stadium

The Suns have had an improved 2020 but they are starting to revert back to their form of old. They lost to the GWS Giants last week and scored only four goals.

Facing the Saints isn’t going to help either, with St Kilda coming into form with a 101-48 win over the Sydney Swans.

The Saints are marching after also recording a Round 8 win over Port Adelaide. We are expecting that form to continue and we like the head-to-head odds available this week.

Bookmaker are offering $1.53 and that is worth snapping up.

Betting tip: Saints to win @ $1.53

Friday 7/8/20

7:50pm Essendon Bombers vs. GWS Giants @ Metricon Stadium

The Bombers got bombed against the Brisbane Lions last week and a bounce-back effort will be needed against the Giants.

Essendon suffered a 91-28 loss after scoring only three goals. It was a disappointing loss for a team that had big ambitions in 2020.

The Giants found their best form when beating the Suns 61-35, but the level of opposition increases here, so we’re not expecting an easy victory.

We think the Bombers can bounce back on Friday night and score a statement win.

Betting tip: Bombers to win @ $2.51
