Arsenal ‘ready to pay £48m to seal Marco Reus transfer deal’

Arsenal are ready to pay £48million to sign Marco Reus from Borussia Dortmund, according to report.

The Gunners were reported to have hijacked Liverpool’s negotiations to sign Reus last week, with Arsene Wenger known to be a long-term fan.

And with speculation continuing that the German is leaving Dortmund this summer, SportBild say Arsenal are ready to pay £48m to bring him to the Emirates.

Arsenal are on the lookout for one or two more players during the transfer window, but Wenger has stressed that they must be ‘exceptional’.

Reus fits into that category and while the reports in Germany say no official approach has been made yet, Arsenal seem to be keen to get this deal done.
