Hawthorn are hoping emerging midfielder Will Langford will recover quickly from his latest injury setback.
Langford, who was a hero for the Hawks in last year's finals, hasn't played since picking up a knee problem in the win over Collingwood three weeks ago.
He was nearing a return to full fitness when he suffered a setback with his medial ligament in training last week.
Hawthorn say the on-baller, who kicked three goals in the Grand Final win over Sydney at the end of his first AFL campaign last year, will be out for between two and six weeks.
General manager of football operations Chris Fagan said the club, who are 11/10 to win the premiership, hoped Langford wouldn't spend much longer on the sidelines as he is back running at training.
"He's recovered pretty well from it, it's probably going to be closer to two than six, which is fortunate," he said of the 23-year-old, who has played ten games this year.
"But it's just one of those things we'll have to take as it comes and see what his level of soreness is like."
The Hawks had Ben Stratton and Liam Shiels missing from last weekend's record 138-point thrashing of Carlton but the duo should be available to take on Richmond at the MCG this Friday.
Stratton's ankle has improved, while Shiels is over a corked quad and the pair were both running at training on Tuesday.
Fagan said: "They were relatively minor injuries. They possibly could have played at a pinch, but we just wanted to give them the opportunity to recover."
Key defender James Frawley is likely to come in for Matt Spangher (hamstring), after coming through a VFL return at the weekend following a dislocated shoulder. Taylor Duryea is also in the frame after his shoulder injury.
Hawthorn are 91/100 conceding a 34.5-points start against Richmond.
