Young Boys 3.95 v Monaco 2.10; The Draw 3.50

2014/15 quarter-finalists Monaco are forced to enter this season's edition in the penultimate qualifying round owing to their third-place finish in Ligue 1.
They are fancied to get past the Swiss Super League's runners-up though after a productive summer in which the loss of Geoffrey Kondogbia, Yannick Ferreira Carrasco and Lucas Ocampos was covered for by adding Adama Traore, Ivan Cavaleiro, Guido Carrillo and Stephan El Shaarawy among others.
This is Young Boys' first Champions League involvement since their memorable qualifying double header with Tottenham in 2010/11, in which they sprinted into a 3-0 lead within 28 minutes only to eventually be overcome 6-3 on aggregate.
Under 2.5 goals is more likely on this occasion. They have opened their domestic campaign with successive 1-1 draws, while nine of Monaco's ten games in this competition last term served up two goals or less.

Celtic 1.46 v Karabakh 9.20; The Draw 4.50
Wednesday, 19:45
Celtic were very impressive against Stjarnan in the last round, prevailing 6-1 on aggregate, but it would be a grave error to assume that progress will be as straightforward against Karabakh. Yes, Azerbaijani sides aren't recognised as a major threat, yet these guys are busy grafting to alter that.
Since 2009/10, Karabakh have eliminated the likes of Rosenborg, Wisla Krakow and Twente in double headers, while their Europa League group stage debut last year saw them hold St Etienne twice, draw at home to Inter and win away to finalists Dnipro.
The start to this, their second ever Champions League campaign, wasn't quite as emphatic as they nudged past Montenegrin opponents Rudar Pljevlja 1-0 on aggregate. However, what that result did do was confirm them as an "unders" team in Europe: ten of their last 11 continental clashes delivered two goals or fewer.

Rapid Vienna 2.90 v Ajax 2.60; The Draw 3.40

Don't make the mistake of assuming that just because Ajax are Champions League veterans, they will find their way to the group stage without any difficulty. The sole reason that they made it that far in the past four years was due to automatic entry as champions, and they didn't get any further.
Indeed, over the past nine seasons, Eredivisie runners-up survived the preliminaries once, when Ajax made up for flops against Copenhagen (2006/07) and Slavia Prague (2007/08) by edging past PAOK and Dinamo Kiev in 2010/11. Six of the past nine Dutch second-placers fell at the very first hurdle.
Frank de Boer's men are winless in ten Champions League road trips, but they both scored and conceded in each of 2014/15's three. Expect that trend to continue in Austria, as Rapid Vienna have scored eight goals in their two 2015/16 fixtures to date.
