at Etihad Stadium

The Tigers are going all out to win this match while Adelaide has looked to the future at the selection table.
Lineups
Richmond Key Ins: Josh Caddy, Dion Prestia, Toby Nankervis
Richmond Key Outs: Alex Rance, Bachar Houli
Adelaide Key Ins: Curtly Hampton, Troy Menzel
Adelaide Key Outs: Rory Sloane, Scott Thompson, Brad Crouch, Jake Lever, Paul Seedsman
What To Expect
The Tigers only played on Etihad twice last season, and in both matches they went down. One of these matches was to Adelaide in Round 3, losing by 36 points. However this is the pre-season and team selection moves the market more than any other time of the year. Richmond has gone all out to try and win this game naming a full strength squad besides their injured duo Alex Rance and Bachar Houli. The Crows lost Rory Sloane to a training mishap last week (fractured eye socket) and also haven’t named Scott Thompson, Brad Crouch or young defender Jake Lever. Although the Crows forward line is still stacked with talent, the Wolf believes they will struggle to get the ball down there and for that reason the Tigers should have too much class in this one.
Rising Star Watch
The Tigers have named Oleg Markov ($51) and Jason Castagna ($101) for this clash however the Wolf believes these guys won’t be in contention for a spot come round 1. The Crows have named exciting winger Wayne Milera ($26) who showed glimpses of brilliance in his 8 games in 2016. If Milera can force himself into the round 1 side his outside dash may see him earn a rising star nomination.
