Football Bet of the Day: Silkeborg to worm their way to a result

Lyon's roar was more of a whimper against Guingamp last night. OL won, but not by enough to make Tobias a profit. Quelle frustration, as the French might say (I think - my A-level was a long time ago).

We're off to the Danish Superliga for a clash between two sides who are struggling for form. AaB haven't won a top-flight game in Denmark since mid-April, and yet they are odds-on to beat Silkeborg this evening.

AaB won the league in 2014, but could only finish tenth last season, and this term they are rock bottom of the table. They haven't won any of their league games this term, and stretching back into last season, they haven't won any of their last 12 league games. They have only scored five goals in seven Superliga outings since the start of the season.

Silkeborg aren't much better. They are only two points better off than AaB, and on the road they have only taken one point from their last five games. However, they did beat AaB 1-0 in Aalborg in May.

Both of these sides are making heavy weather of their start to the season, and given that, I'd expect the Match Odds market to be a bit more split. However, AaB are trading at 1.94, which is pretty skinny considering their ropey home form, and the fact they have taken maximum points from just one of the last 18 league games.
